{"id":3833,"date":"2014-02-02T00:54:20","date_gmt":"2014-02-02T00:54:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/gormahia.net\/latest\/?p=3833"},"modified":"2014-02-11T14:20:33","modified_gmt":"2014-02-11T14:20:33","slug":"gor-mahia-likely-to-loose-tuzo-sponsorship","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gormahia.net\/latest\/news\/gor-mahia-likely-to-loose-tuzo-sponsorship\/","title":{"rendered":"Gor Mahia likely to loose Tuzo sponsorship"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/gormahia.net\/images\/tuzo-divas.jpg\" width=\"426\" height=\"295\" \/><br \/>\ncourtesy of goal.com<\/p>\n<p>A source has revealed to Goal that the milk company is not going to renew contract with the Kenyan league champions that expires in March, 2014<br \/>\nGor Mahia\u2019s quest to defend Kenya Premier League title has received a major blow after a reliable source revealed to Goal that shirt sponsors Tuzo will not renew sponsorship with the club.<\/p>\n<p>The source, who sought anonymity, has revealed that the milk company is likely not going to renew contract with K\u2019Ogalo that expires in March, 2014.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGor Mahia will be forced to search for a new sponsor because Tuzo are not keen to renew the same,\u201d said our source adding, \u201cThey (Tuzo) are yet to make an official communication to the club but that will be done soon.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Last July, Gor Mahia signed a renewed contract with Tuzo that saw the club receive Sh29.5 million during the one year period. The deal was to cover for salaries, kits as well as operational costs.<\/p>\n<p>When reached for comment, Gor Mahia chairman Ambrose Rachier said he had not been informed about Tuzo\u2019s intended move but promised to issue a statement at an appropriate time.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf at the end of March they do not renew then we would have something to say. At the moment those are mere rumors which we cannot comment on.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Tuzo signed a two year deal with Gor Mahia in 2011 worth Sh38million over the same period. It expired in April 2013.
