{"id":452,"date":"2012-04-13T02:19:01","date_gmt":"2012-04-13T02:19:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/gormahia.net\/latest\/?p=452"},"modified":"2012-04-13T02:19:01","modified_gmt":"2012-04-13T02:19:01","slug":"blackberry-may-return","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gormahia.net\/latest\/news\/blackberry-may-return\/","title":{"rendered":"Blackberry may return"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.gormahia.net\/images\/blackberry-tusker2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"476\" height=\"240\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Courtesy of Daily Nation<\/p>\n<p>Former Kenyan Premier League Player of the Year, George \u2018BlackBerry\u2019 Odhiambo, is on the verge of making a sensational return to Gor Mahia.<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>This will happen during the transfer window in June.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Odhiambo, who won the best player award in 2010, left for Danish side Randers immediately after the season.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>But he has found limited playing time at the Danish side and with an urge to rebuild his career and also win back his position in the national team, Odhiambo has been mulling with the idea of making a return to the KPL.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>His agent Ed Stoner has been in close contact with Gor Mahia secretary general George Bwana and the deal is almost done.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Terrorised defenders<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>\u201cI can work on bringing George (Odhiambo) back to Kenya and he is ready to play for Gor Mahia,\u201d said Stoner. \u201cI also have links in Asia but the boy wants his career back on track,\u201d added the agent.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Contacted, Bwana confirmed he had made contact with the agent and they were discussing finer details about a deal to bring the 22-year-old back to K\u2019Ogalo where he made a name terrorising defenders at will.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOdhiambo is one player I believe should have stayed at Gor for longer. It\u2019s our hope that he comes back to the club and rebuild his career.
