Joseph Wanyonyi\u00a0 volley from inside the box \u00a0\u00a0gave Gor Mahia the lead before Jacob Keli equalizer in the 35th<\/sup> minute \u00a0followed by Charles \u00a0Okwemba header \u00a0and Bernard Mangoli \u00a073rd minute strike marked a first derby win for Coach Hendrick de Johng.<\/p>\n Gor Mahia’s goal came from forward Dan Sserunkuma’s run who broke free from the left wing to float in a cross to Timonah Wanyonyi who took his time to pick his place past an incoming Kasaya to send K’ogallo faithful into a frenzy.<\/p>\n It did not take long for Leoprds to hit back as a\u00a0build up from Ingwe defence found Charles Okwemba at the middle of the park, whose pass split the Gor defence to meet an onrushing Jacob Keli who moved clear to fire past Gor’s keeper Jerim Onyango for Ingwe equalizer in the 35th minute<\/p>\n The 49th minute saw an ever overlapping Godfrey Walusimbi combine\u00a0 well with Gor\u2019s goal scorer Wanyonyi to pick Rama in AFC box. The forward low connecting \u00a0shot went wide with Kasaya seemingly covering his lines well.<\/p>\n Austin Ikkena almost ended the first half with a goal for Ingwe after\u00a0 David Owino failed to clear out a cross providing the Nigerian with a chance \u00a0to head home but an outstretched Onyango made a timely save to prevent Gor from ending the half a goal down.<\/p>\n Second half action resumed on a slow pace with much of possession concentrated at the centre with occasional burst towards goal.<\/p>\n Clearance blunder\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n Martin Imbalabala 55th minute clearance blunder saw Eric Ochieng nab the poor clearance to play in Wanyonyi whose chip \u00a0never troubled Kasaya, going out for goal kick.<\/p>\n A 59th<\/sup> minute foul on Okwemba by David Owino in Gor’s left back position \u00a0saw the Ingwe midfielder notch in Leopards’ second goal with a slight header touch from Abdalla Juma\u2019s free kick.<\/p>\n Last twenty minutes saw Kevin Omondi\u2019s introduction pushing Gor forward and dominating the proceedings as AFC cut out the attacks before playing out long balls to their forwards.<\/p>\n Gor came close after Jackson Saleh lost his footing in the box with Wanyonyi breathing down his neck but a timely recovery saw the defender prevent the winger from winning possession of \u00a0the ball.<\/p>\n Third goal\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n A trailing Gor Mahia opted to intensified attack at Ingwe goal but it was Ingwe who took\u00a0 the advanatge of the situation to lift a long ball to Okwemba that resulted to AFC hitting on a counter attack for the third goal.<\/p>\n The veteran midfielder through pass to find Ikkena was first cut out but his second choice,an incoming Bernard Mangoli saw the midfielder chest down the ball from inside the box before burying in a low \u00a0shot past \u00a0Jerim Onyango with the ball hitting the cross bar before nestling into the net.<\/p>\n Third goal seemed to kill any lingering hopes for Gor \u00a0winning the tie.
