{"id":636,"date":"2012-06-01T13:14:16","date_gmt":"2012-06-01T13:14:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/gormahia.net\/latest\/?p=636"},"modified":"2012-06-01T13:14:16","modified_gmt":"2012-06-01T13:14:16","slug":"family-fun-day-postponed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gormahia.net\/latest\/news\/family-fun-day-postponed\/","title":{"rendered":"Family fun day postponed"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/gormahia.net\/images\/fans-kofia.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"469\" height=\"233\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Courtesy of michezoafrika.com<\/p>\n<p>The highly anticipated Gor Mahia fun day which had been set for this Madaraka day Friday has now been postponed up to next weekend, the 9th of June.Gor Mahia\u2019s Vice Chair Faiz Ochieng\u2019 told Michezoafrika.com security concerns were top on the list for the reasons the fun day was postponed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe were finalizing on the arrangements with the hosts, splash waterworld and the police but then the Deputy OCPD told us that they will not be able to provide police offoicers as they will be involved in the Madaraka day arrangements as it will be a security function,\u201d \u00a0Faiz says.<\/p>\n<p>He also said that the team\u2019s sponsors TUZO milk had requested to be made part of the day since they were initially not officially put on the program.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou know our sponsors are like our employers and we have to factor them in when we are planning. They wanted to be part of the day in that fans who will pay to get in will get two free packets of Tuzo milk as part of their appreciation.
