{"id":726,"date":"2012-07-08T18:07:51","date_gmt":"2012-07-08T18:07:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/gormahia.net\/latest\/?p=726"},"modified":"2012-07-08T18:07:51","modified_gmt":"2012-07-08T18:07:51","slug":"gor-mahia-raid-kcb-vault-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gormahia.net\/latest\/news\/gor-mahia-raid-kcb-vault-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Gor Mahia raid KCB vault"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Courtesy of michezoafrika.com<\/p>\n<p>Gor Mahia moved up to the sixth spot in the Kenyan Premier League standings courtesy of a hat-trick by Rama Salim whose combinations with Dan Sserenkuma not only entertained the mammoth crowd at City but also proved capable of pushing Gor Mahia to challenge for the title.<br \/>\nThe first corner of the match fell to KCB and was well executed by Clifford Alwanga.The clearance allowed Rama Salim charge towards the KCB half but his through ball to Sserenkuma was well read and cut out.<br \/>\nCenter referee Raphael Nduati had to stop the match for minutes to allow fans who took vantage positions at the top of power lines come down. After play resumed, Moses Odhiambo was on the offense as he chipped a great free kick that went off target.<br \/>\nKCB\u2019s Brian Osumba almost caused an early upset after he beat defender Ivan Anguyo but keeper Jerim Onyango stood strong and parried away the danger.<br \/>\nJust as KCB seemed more likely to score, Gor Mahia came knocking with a powerful combination.Sserenkuma delivered a well-timed pass to Rama Salim who rounded keeper Adola before planting the ball into an empty net to send the packed stadium into frenzy.<br \/>\nGor Mahia\u2019s celebrations were short lived as three minutes later good combinations involving Osumba and Mwaura opened the defense and allowed Elvis Ayany find space to beat Jerim Onyango for the equalizer.<br \/>\nGor Mahia\u2019s Joseph \u2018Pablo\u2019 Njuguna then spotted keeper Adola off his line and tried a long range shot that narrowly missed target. Moses Odhiambo overlapping run five minutes to the break ended on the top of the net.<br \/>\nIn the final minute of the first half, Danni Sserenkuma again provided an accurate assist that Rama Salim slotted home to give Gor Mahia a 2-1 lead at the break.<br \/>\nAt the start of the second half Gor Mahia Coach Logarusic introduced David Owino for Solomon Nasio. Gor had the first chance .Rama Salim tried to find Sserenkuma but KCB defender intervened at the right time.<br \/>\nThe man of the day Rama Salim brought the stadium to light again after beating two KCB defenders then calmly completed a hat-trick in the 63rd minute.<br \/>\nMinutes later, he unselfishly fed Sserenkuma but the Ugandan back heel effort never troubled keeper Caleb Adola.<br \/>\nKCB created two great chances in the 77nd minute that allowed Jerim Onyango display some of the skills he has learnt from keeper trainer Idd Salim.
