{"id":76,"date":"2010-08-11T01:21:37","date_gmt":"2010-08-10T17:21:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/gormahia.net\/latest\/?p=76"},"modified":"2010-08-11T01:21:37","modified_gmt":"2010-08-10T17:21:37","slug":"gor-mahia-to-go-on-with-kpl-matches-after-all","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gormahia.net\/latest\/news\/gor-mahia-to-go-on-with-kpl-matches-after-all\/","title":{"rendered":"Gor Mahia to go on with KPL matches after all"},"content":{"rendered":"<div><span>Contrary to the earlier assumption that a team can apply for  postponement of its premier league matches if it has more than one  player in the National team, Gor<\/span> Mahia will be forced to miss  services of Anthony Akumu, Musa Mohamed, Duncan Owiti and Abdimalik  Mohamed who will be doing duty for the country in <span id=\"lw_1281460814_0\" class=\"yshortcuts\">Eritrea<\/span> during the CECAFA junior championship kicking off on Saturday 14th in Asmara.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>According to the fixtures released today by KPL Secretariat, Mathare\/Gor match which could have been played tomorrow, had <span id=\"lw_1281460814_1\" class=\"yshortcuts\" style=\"cursor: pointer; background: none repeat scroll 0% 0% transparent;\">Kenya<\/span> not gone for an International friendly match in Tanzania,\u00a0will now be played on Saturday 14th August at <span id=\"lw_1281460814_2\" class=\"yshortcuts\" style=\"border-bottom: 2px dotted #366388; cursor: pointer; background: none repeat scroll 0% 0% transparent;\">Nyayo National Stadium<\/span> as from 3pm.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Asked about the FIFA\/KPL rule allowing clubs with more than one  player in National team to apply, if they so wishes, \u00a0for postponement  of any match involving them, KPL CEO Jack Oguda responded that the rule  does not apply to junior team. He further clarified that it was a  mistake on their side to have accepted the application from Gor Mahia to  postpone their matches against Western Stima and <span id=\"lw_1281460814_3\" class=\"yshortcuts\" style=\"border-bottom: 2px dotted #366388; cursor: pointer;\">Ulinzi Stars<\/span> due to involvement of junior team in African championship qualifier matches against <span id=\"lw_1281460814_4\" class=\"yshortcuts\">Sudan<\/span> in Khartoum and Nairobi respectively.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8211;<\/div>\n<div>Ronald N.
