Talks between the club and Michael Olunga have stalled. Olunga’s\u00a0 contract with the club expires before the end of the year. But Olunga’s demands are more than what the club can pay at this point.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe player\u2019s initial offer was in the region of Sh5 million as sign on fees to enable him remain with us for another year. That figure is unrealistic, not because he isn\u2019t worth it, but we don\u2019t have that kind of money,\u201d says a source to the Nairobi News.<\/p>\n
Olunga was recently voted Kenya player of the year and was the leading scorer in Kenya in all competitions at club and national level. He has attracted interest from clubs as far north as Raja Casablanca of Morocco and as far south as Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa.<\/p>\n
A report on goal.com suggests that coach Frank Nuttall has suggested releasing striker Enock Agwanda.<\/p>\n
“Nuttall believes he does not need Agwanda and since he is still young, it is better to release him. However, some in the club management don’t agree and so we have to wait and see,” says a source to goal.com.<\/p>\n
Agwanda has proven to be a useful substitute for the club. With his immense strength, has proven to be a handful for tiring defenders when introduced in the second half. His long throws reminiscent of Tobias Ocholla have yielded several goals. But Agwanda has been dissastified with his role as a sub and has been pushing for a starting role.<\/p>\n
