Gor Mahia remained winless in Kenyan Premier League after they battled to a barren draw against Ulinzi Stars on Thursday.<\/p>\n
The draw means the league champions have now gone for three matches without a win. Gor Mahia got the first chance to go ahead in the fourth minute but Enock Agwanda’s effort flashed wide after being put through by Godfrey Walusimbi.<\/p>\n
One minute later, the soldiers forced a corner but did not get much from it. Three minutes later, Cliff Kasuti made a cross looking for Oscar Wamalwa but Musa Mohammed was quick to clear the danger.<\/p>\n
The match had to be stopped for a few minutes thereafter, as Bernard Odhiambo had to be treated. The attack then quickly swung towards Gor Mahia as Francis Kahata picked up Godfrey Walusimbi’s effort only for it to fly over the bar.<\/p>\n
Ulinzi got a slight reprieve in the 20th minute when John Nairuka’s shot got blocked. Gor Mahia were forced to make an early change when Karim Nzigimiyama came on for injured Bernard Odhiambo<\/p>\n
Four minutes later, Kasuti should have scored for Ulinzi Stars had his shot been on target. James Saruni was called to make a save of the half from a Kahata low shot. Then Walusimbi nearly came close as Gor Mahia dominated the closing stages of the first half.<\/p>\n
It was however, the soldiers, who ended the half on a high with Makwatta coming close at the tail end of the first half. The soldiers started the second half strongly with Makwatta and John Nairuka combing well to find Kasuti only for Jerim Onyango to come out and clear the danger.<\/p>\n
Ulinzi Stars pulled out Masuti for Kevin Amwayi. In the 56th minute, Joseph Kuria was booked for a bad tackle. At the hour mark, Enock Agwanda was picked out by Kahata but he could not finish it off.<\/p>\n
