Gor Mahia registered their first league win of 2016. It was a dream debut for coach Ze maria and Rwandese striker Jacque Tuyisenge<\/p>\n

Gor Mahia attacker Jacques Tuyisenge made a dream debut for the Kenyan giants as he scored one and assisted another as Gor Mahia thrashed Kakamega Homeboyz 3-0 in a Kenyan Premier League (KPL) match played on Saturday 2 April in Mumias to register their first win of the season. Enock Agwanda, Tuyisenge and Jacob Keli did the job for new coach Jose \u2018Ze Maria\u2019 Fereira.<\/p>\n

The champions took the lead in the first minute through Enock Agwanda, who smashed into the back of the net after being put through by debutant Jacques Tuyisenge. The Rwandan squandered a great opportunity to get on the score-sheet minutes later shooting wide while through on goal.<\/p>\n

Homeboyz chances<\/p>\n

Homeboyz slowly grew into the game towards the quarter hour mark pressing for an equalizer but Gor remained solid at the back denying skipper Martin Imbalambala and Andrew Kulecho in quick succession. The hosts made an early change hauling off former Muhoroni Youth midfielder Mike Khaduli for 2015 FKF Premier League top scorer, Keiphas Baraza in search of an equalizer.<\/p>\n

Tuyisenge has a chance to double Gor\u2019s lead at the half hour mark but the attacker shot wide while clear on goal after receiving a precise pass from Karim Nizigiyimana on the right. The teams left for a breather with Gor having a goal advantage.<\/p>\n

Tuyisenge goal<\/p>\n

Two minutes after the restart, Tuyisenge introduced himself to Gor Mahia faithful, capitalizing on a defensive lapse to double the visitors\u2019 advantage and put Gor on course of their maiden win of the season. Substitute Francis Kahata nearly got on the score-sheet at the hour mark but Philip Odhiambo on Homeboyz goal did well to deny him on a one on one situation.<\/p>\n

Gor dominated proceedings thereafter with Tuyisenge twice coming close to grabbing his second but was denied on both occasions by resolute defending by Homeboyz defenders. Tuyisenge\u2019s dream debut was cut short in the 72nd minute as he hobbled off injured and was replaced by Jacob Keli who scored three minutes after coming on with a powerful header to complete Gor\u2019s convincing win.<\/p>\n
