He also had an agreement of a Sh5,000 win allowance as well as transport to and from training as well as medical cover.

Gor Mahia Secretary General Ronald Ngala has confirmed that the club has been served with the papers and says they will look at them and take appropriate action.

“I was called by the federation and told there is such a letter. I believe they have been taken to the chairman’s office and we will look at them then make a decision on what to be done,” Ngala told Capital Sport.

Ngala has admitted to Capital Sport that the club indeed had a valid contract with Bissolli.

“We had some agreement with him, that is true, but he was dismissed in quite a haphazard manner because the coach insisted he cannot use him. As at now, we can’t say much. Let’s just study the letter and the demands and make a decision,” Ngala added.

In FIFA’s letter to Gor, the players’ status committee has asked the club to explain with documented evidence why they released the player without both parties having an agreement.

Rodriguez’s arrival had been highly touted by the club. The deal was fronted by a local agent.

Fake Video

At the time Rachier explained why the club was interested in Bissolli.

“We have his detailed records of video and resume from the Brazilian federation. The player has been keen to join us for the past two years and when he came here for trials, at his own expense, we thought we should give him a chance,” said Rachier at the time.

However the purported video of the player that was posted online and is still available on youtube is clearly fake. The close up videos are indeed Bisolli but the player running with the ball is not him. The player shown running in the video below has greater speed, fluidity of movement and even appears to have much darker hair.

This is false adverting !

When Bisssolli however shocked everyone when he arrived in poor shape and overweight. Zdravko Logarusic who was the coach at the time chided the player for his lack of fitness. Rodriguez would then be see jogging on his own to gain fitness.

Agent protests

Bernard Opondo, the agent who brought Rodriguez to Nairobi through a Brazillian contact, insisted at the time the player has a two-year contract, which must be honoured by Gor.

He also defended his client against claims that he is unfit to play for Gor.

“Rodriguez is a professional player. He had a season long lay-off and was only practicing in the gymnasium which saw him add weight. With proper practice he is going to go back to his normal weight,” said Opondo.

He claimed the player trained under respected Brazillian coach Gebran Araujo, who also handled famous Brazillian midfielder Ronaldinho Gaucho.
Opondo claimed Logarusic was being used by a section of officials in the club to discredit his player.
“I have seen his training with Gor and he is a fantastic dribbler and therefore I am convinced that the latest outburst by Logarusic can only be incitement from some officials in the club,” added agent.

Bissolli arrived out of shape prompting a local journalist to dub him “Waiganjuez” in reference to Waiganjo the fake policeman

Bisolli sent packing

Logarusic later toned down his rhetoric and said they have no space for the Brazillian team saying the player also has some personal issues to sort out back home.

“After watching the player in the last one week, it is our opinion as the technical bench that he will not fit in our system. He needs time to work on his fitness before we make any decision,” coach added.

Rodriguez’s online profiles suggest he has not played any professional football since he was dismissed by Gor Mahia.

However the manner in which Gor Mahia handles contracts of foreign players leaves a lot to be desired. Players are often signed before passing a medical or even passing trials. In some cases players are given significant amounts of money before they can even sign (remember Julius Situmbeko?).

Giovanni Rodriguez Bissolli, the Brazilian who was recruited by Gor Mahia to much fanfare in January 0f 2013, has now

[1
441,112
post-8737","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-news","tag-giovanni-rodriguez-bissolli","tag-gor-mahia-transfers
["GET
