Sofapaka had previously purchased Fiston for Ksh 1.2 million from a Burundian academy. They turned a nice profit.

The low transfer fee of Aucho is due to the fact that Aucho only had six months left on his contract. However it is a welcome departure from recent cases where Gor Mahia gave players away for free. For example, when Ali Abondo left for South Africa, it was reported that the club got nothing even though Abondo had a year left on his contract.

The transfer fees also make the case for why Gor Mahia should invest more in youth structures unlike the current situation where the youth team is being treated shabbily.

Gor Mahia organizing secretary Ronald Ngala has confirmed that the club has received Ksh 1.6 million (Rand 200,000) from South

[1
268
post-8847","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-news","tag-khalid-aucho
["GET
