It was a splendid performance by Gor Mahia young lads at Dar-es-salaam National stadium on Saturday when they demolished a fluid Simba side 3-1 in an extremely exciting match played in front of a sparse crowd. Duncan Makori took only 2 minutes of play before finding the back of the net after he was beautifully put through by industrious midfielder Collins Okoth, who later, turned scorer in the 13th minute after Wycliffe Opondo marvellously tapped an over head first volley on his path. He made no mistake latching on it\u00a0clinically\u00a0with his left foot, a mazed Simba<\/span> goal keeper Ally Mustapha could do very little to stop the ball from landing in the roof of the net.<\/div>\n

Baldwin Ngwa, who had his best day in Kenyan football scene, was a constant threat to Simba’s defence line. He marshaled his way through the box before releasing a fine pass to unmarked Francis Ochola at the edge of Goalkeeper’s area. Without making any mistake, Ochola cleverly made it 3-0 at 44th minute.<\/div>\n

Second half was a tale of missed chances with Duncan Makori missing a great opportunity\u00a0to make it 4-0 at the 65th minute there after it became a balanced affair with Jerry Santos rattling the cross bar in the 75th minute. Earlier Amri Mafutah had missed a glaring chance after failing to tap in a cross after he had beaten Gor’s offside trap. Amir Mafutah would later console their home fans by pulling one goal back at the stoppage time after converting a similar cross he missed earlier.<\/div>\n
