{"id":8916,"date":"2016-10-04T01:59:01","date_gmt":"2016-10-04T01:59:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/gormahia.net\/latest\/?p=8916"},"modified":"2016-10-04T01:59:01","modified_gmt":"2016-10-04T01:59:01","slug":"contestants-and-branch-officials-furious-at-election-delay","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gormahia.net\/latest\/news\/contestants-and-branch-officials-furious-at-election-delay\/","title":{"rendered":"Contestants and Branch officials furious at election delay"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/gormahia.net\/images\/logo.jpg\" width=\"200\" height=\"229\" alt=\"\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" \/><br \/>\nVarious fans, branch chairmen and officials have expressed<br \/>\nAdditional Reporting courtesy of the Nation<br \/>\nChairmen of Gor Mahia&#8217;s branches on Monday issued a 30-day ultimatum to the current leadership to either hold club elections or vacate office.<\/p>\n<p>The branches&#8217; chairmen also stated that they were not involved in the making of a draft constitution that was presented to the public two weeks ago.<\/p>\n<p>Fifteen branch chairmen led by Kondele\u2019s Hezron Okoth expressed concerns about the current leadership\u2019s reluctance to call for elections before demanding that the process be held by the end of next month.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have explored so many other channels but to no success and that is why we have come out to the media.
