Gor Mahia moved up to seventh on the Kenya Premier League standings with a comfortable 3-0 win over Zoo Kericho on Wednesday afternoon.
The Kenya Premier League defending champions were stunned 1-0 last time out against Western-based Vihiga United but came out roaring at the Kasarani Stadium.
Gor got their opener in the 10th minute, and it was the in-form Samuel Onyango who scored with a thunderous shot from outside the box.
Manuel Vaz Pinto's men dominated the early exchanges and exploiting open spaces with good runs.
It was no surprise they scored a second through captain Kenneth Muguna just after the half-hour mark, even though the goal was initially thought to have been an Ezekiel own goal.
Gor took a 2-0 lead going into the break and continued with their dominance in the second half.
They however had to wait until the 92nd minute for their third, and it arrived courtesy of Sydney Ochieng'.
The win saw Gor move too 12 points, nine off league leaders KCB, who are on 21 points.
This could however change if Gor wins their two matches at hand, with their next assignment away against Bandari.
