Kudos for GMAF for clearing players and TB winning bonuses.
However is it logical to expect much from players or TB members who has not been paid for 2,3,4 or even more months to be motivated by payment of a match winning bonus.
Goalkeeping trainer Willis Ochieng is claiming 14 months salary arrears, Owusu 8 months unpaid, Ambundo 6 months not paid .
E.g a player on a monthly pay of 50k will be owed KES.150, 000 if not paid for 3 months.
How will a match winning bonus of 3/5k help or motivate him?
How can fans, members and other stakeholders expect results from such players and trumpet that winning bonuses have been cleared or that they have a bonus of 5k ready.
Stakeholders holders must think outside the box and take over the direct payment of the salaries of core players and TB, capped at a maximum of 30 players and TB through a Independent & Transparent Players Salary Transfer Fund.
As a stakeholder, fan, member, official etc, one cannot expect a team that is not paid their salaries to perform. However stakeholders cannot continue giving the officials money yet they never pay players and TB.
15,000 stakeholders contributing 100bob per month will raise KES.1.5m enough to guarantee 25 players and 5 TB a salary (part) of KES.50k each.
Does Gor Mahia have 15k followers for the direct payment of its players & TB?
Contributors who reach KES.1200 in a financial year should automatically recognized as club members. Here the control is easy if club (officials) refuse to register these members than the fund should stop further payments.
Any other ideas from Kogalo followers to save the club from its current mediocre existence?
