FKF-Premier League reigning champions Gor Mahia's early season woes deepened on Wednesday after they suffered a 2-0 defeat in the hands of Bandari United at the bumpy Ukunda showground in Kwale County.
Geoffrey Ojunga and Benja Nyamawi scored the all-important goals for the Dockers in the second half to pile more pressure on troubled defending champions, whose coach, Leonardo Neiva, had to be whisked away from riled-up fans.
Bandari had the first attempt of the game after just two minutes of play when midfielder Geoffrey Ojunga fired a 30-yard free kick that was saved for a corner by Gor Mahia goalkeeper Caleb Otieno.

The hosts had another chance in the 20th minute; the Gor keeper saved striker Alfred Emoni's bicycle kick.
Gor striker Chris Ochieng and playmaker Austin Odhiambo were well defended by Bandari’s rearguard, lacking a shot on target in the first 30 minutes of play.

In the 67th minute, Kogalo were reduced to ten men after captain Geoffrey Ochieng was given matching orders after a hard foul on Bandari talisman Izzadin Ramadhan outside the 18-yard box.
Ojunga then capped his fine display by scoring from a direct from the free kick, 25 yards, finding the top corner of the post.
Benja Nyamawi doubled Bandari’s lead after connecting with Izzadin Ramadhan's strong pass at the 18-yard box, beating Gor Mahia goalkeeper Caleb Otieno.
The match was stopped for over half an hour after chaotic scenes erupted between fans, leading to injuries to five fans.
After resumption, the center referee played the remaining 6 minutes to stamp Bandari fc win.
Dockers goalkeeper James Omusinde made a successful debut taking the place of ill Bryne Omondi.
Speaking after the match, Bandari FC tactician Ken Odhiambo praised his players for showing character and winning the maximum points.
"I am happy my players showed character and played according to our plan. We knew Gor would attack more, but we dominated the second half".
