Gor Mahia FC secured their first victory of the FKF Premier League campaign by defeating Ulinzi Stars 1-0 at the Ulinzi Sports Complex in Nairobi on Saturday.
Kevin Juma produced the decisive moment came in the 29th minute when he capitalized on a goalkeeping error forced on them from a corner kick.
The first half of the match was a cagey affair as both teams attempted to establish dominance.
Despite several promising opportunities in the opening 20 minutes, the home team failed to capitalize on their chances to take the lead.
As the second half unfolded, Ulinzi Stars made a determined push to level the score. However, their efforts were thwarted by Gor Mahia's goalkeeper, who had a relatively untroubled time defending his goal.
With this crucial victory, Kogalo moves up to the fifth position with4 points in the FKF Premier League standings. In contrast, Ulinzi Stars find themselves at the bottom of the table, yet to secure a single point after two rounds of matches.
