K'Ogalo, with three matches left, will hope to win out, and hope for a Kenya Police slip up
FKF Premier League defending champions Gor Mahia once again complicated their chances of potentially winning a record-extending 22nd title after dropping points once again on Sunday 18 May.
Coming off a bitter defeat to lowly Nairobi City Stars, off-color Gor Mahia were again unable to pick points from a side battling relegation, ultimately settling for a barren draw against Murang’a Seal at St. Sebastian Park.
The draw now means that K’Ogalo no longer hold the title-winning cards on their hands, and will now need help from the other teams to forge a route towards an increasingly unlikely league championship.
An uneventful first half for Gor Mahia only ended up with one real effort on target as Chris Ochieng hit the post inside the first 15 minutes.
The second half provided more pedestrian activity for a much-changed squad that carried four new entries at the break, Seal offering up no chance in front of a home crowd.
Not even Alpha Onyango’s go at goal late on was enough, as Gor Mahia struggled to a side that will be delighted with a point that keeps their hopes of remaining in the top-flight alive.
