Gor Mahia sink to Posta Rangers 3-0

Post by faraja »

It was a repeat of the chaotic 2011 encounter as Posta Rangers once again beat Kogalo 3-0

Report from futaa.com
Former Kenya Premier League champions Gor Mahia were handed a footballing lesson as they lost 3-0 against Post Rangers at the Thika Municipal Stadium on Wednesday afternoon.

K'Ogalo went into the match with two wins from their last five KPL games and were keen on halting a poor run that has seen them draw their last two matches.

It was never to be though as they found themselves on the wrong side of the result in an eye-catching performance from the mailmen, who took a 3-0 lead at halftime.

Post went ahead after just seven minutes through Timothy Otieno, who took advantage of poor defending from the visitors.

Gor gained momentum as the match wore on, but were stunned as Posta doubled their lead just after the half-hour mark through Chrispinus Onyango, who exquisitely found the back of the net.

It got from bad to worse for Gor as they conceded a third five minutes later, this time midfielder Kennedy Otieno with the finish.

There was no way back for Gor as Stanley Okumbi's men sent them back to Nairobi with no point.

The loss means Gor are yet to win a match in their last three outings, and remain fifth on 27 points, two ahead of the mailmen in sixth.

K'Ogalo are six points off league leaders Kakamega Homeboyz.
