It’s a secret no more. Tusker Premier League giants Gor Mahia plan to sign Division One Zone A’s lead striker Roosevelt Blaty.
Unstoppable
Blaty has in the recent past been in the news for all the right reasons- for his goal scoring prowess.
Though he arrived late, Gor Mahia Coach Zdravko Logarusic was at the Barclays grounds on Saturday 13 October 2012 to watch the unstoppable Liberian goal poacher.
Up until the game against Nairobi Stima played from 1500hrs, Blaty had scored 25 goals in 32 games.
Hard time
-We organized for the Coach (Logarusic) to go and watch the player. When looking for a striker who scores, you go to all corners to find him, said Gor’s assistant Coach John Bobby Ogola to futaa.com
On their part, Admiral have confirmed to be having a hard time trying to keep the top rated scorer who turned out for relegated then disbanded Sultan Hamud based Opera FC in the 2011 season
Checking on him
-We are getting very many inquiries for the striker. Last weekend we had an agent who flew in from Turkey to watch him in our game against Kibera Celtic.
-Unfortunately the game never kicked off. But very many clubs have been checking on him, said Admiral Technical Director Aref Bhagazally to our news desk.
Blaty scored a goal against Nairobi Stima to move his tally to 26 goals, one away from AP’s Mike Khamati.
The record is amazing. Let’s give him a chance just like Ezekiel Odera. ……if it works out for him good, if it doesn’t, then it is just another bad signing.
Last year. I happened to play against this guy in Nationwide, . . . . .Opera v Strathmore Univesity, . the boy is a goal poacher, though both teams got relegated! Give him a chance.
Although I do not know much about this player, i think that any move that is geared towards the improvement of the team is fantastic. The fact that the coach is given the support to look for players that can add value to the club in any department is healthy. We do not have to wait when we are in crisis to start looking for them. Kudos to the entire Administration.
KEEP THE DEAL A TOP SECRET
Futaa.com is not the right medium to leak this news to Gor Mahia family.
Every time this information leak to the media, it jeopardizes continuing negotiations between our club and where the plies his trade. Fans recall the hyped price of Bob Mugalia, the botched negotations of Medie Kagereand the youngster from Kampala City Council, Mubiru.
SG have been quoted extensively chasing the signature of this strikers but none has materialize.
It is against this backdrop we urge our officials to keep the deal a top secret untill they put the pen to paper. It does not help anyone to leak negoatiations that are not conclusive in order to other scouts from offering better packages for the player. Got Mahia FC should select a few individuals to do the task.
I still maintain we need two creative midfielders to supply our overtalented forwardline. However lad is very welcome to try is luck.If he makes the cut then no doubt he’s something special.
If he’s good take him.
The boys are beggining to wear out like the last 3 games they were struggling and the magician should tell them this is not the time to put their feet off the pedal. Go for the BEST atleast 2 strikers,2 ruthless defenders & 2 powerful midfielders. We believe Zdravco will scout for the best.
