Aspirant Eric Adede dissapointed with delays

courtesy of CAJ news

Nairobi — ERIC Adede, who is vying for the chairmanship of Gor Mahia, has expressed disappointment at the delayed announcement of the club’s election date.

He added that he was no longer sure whether the elections would still be conducted on December 15 as earlier announced.

He demanded that the elections be held within the next two weeks noting that a postponement of the elections date would be a “scheme to loot the elections.”

Speaking in Thika, he accused the current leadership of the club from failing to curb hooliganism within the club’s fans.

“We want Gor Mahia to be placed on map where it is supposed be and the only way to do this is by making it attractive. We cannot attract anybody with the kind of hooliganism that we are having in the club right now, you will just be stumped out, and there is no question about this.

“I have said and told everybody if hooliganism is your policy then I am not your candidate,” he told the side’s followers.

Adede said that he would ensure that the club’s funds were well utilized and fund raise over KES. 1 billion (about US$ 11,5) for the construction of a 35 000 capacity stadium that would also be carpeted.

He further pledged to ensure players’ rights were safeguarded.

Mr Adede, kindly enlighten us how you intend to stamp out this scourge of hooliganism!!What wd be ua magic formula? Methinks the solution to hooliganism lies with the hooligans themselves n nt the EC.Anyway lets hear your strategies

  • Adede I know that u love Gor very much just like me & The current chairman Ambrose rachier. But what u shud know is that being the chaiman of Gor is not about how much u can provide in terms of finances but the heart. U may have brilliant ideas just like everyone of us want but what u should know is that in gor u shud be able to accomodate all including the human waste called hooligans so that u can be a Gor chairman 4r all not 4r the selected ones.U did say that hooligans shud not vote 4r u in radio jamb

Anybody who wants to be elected will always endeavour to impress. Turning the impressive manifesto into tangible results is a totally different kettle of fish!

  • I dont know adede but am with his two ideas on stamping out hooliganism and building a stadium and therefore i find ogolo mike to be a jocker as gormahia does not need hooligans and that is not negotiable football is a family sport and not a battle zone.
I must admit that rachier has done alot for the club he is one of the most successfull chairmen but we need to moveon and be where we belong so i would encourage more aspirants to announce their intentions but all must declare their wealth and give/ avail their resumes /track records for public scruintiny

Adede GOR ina wemyewe. It is a pity that K’Ogalo elections are actually won by the same “Human Waste”. Unless you are preaching water and taking wine at the same time, then you will be surprised with the outcome. Spend your campaign money wisely . NI hayo tu!!!

Ndugu Adede seems to have the right ideas, however, he faces an uphill task trying to unseat an incumbent. History teaches us that in Kenya, unseating an incumbent is like cutting a tamarind tree with a surgical blade. You could only unseat an incumbent if elections were anything close to free and fair. My advice:
    1. Listen to Okoth Jabilo in post 6.
    2. Join ranks with Chairman Rachier, work under him for one term as you establish your roots with the electorate then come next elections you will be ripe and red hot.
    3. As you understudy AR use some of that cash to billboard the savages (human waste) so as to help bring sanity within K’Ogalo ranks.
    4. Build the multibillion K’Ogalo stadium only after you have sorted out the savages otherwise the poor stadium will be vandalized with such efficiency and dexterity that would relegate those ants called Nyang’inja to meer spectators and all these to the delight of political power wielders of the day.

  • if your going to fund raise kshs 1 billion, why wait till ur elected.where have u been. does this mean u can only do good to gor while ur in office. i thnk from this moment i will judge u simply as a wannabee. gor is not in ur heart but all u want is glory. Rachier has done well and mere rhetoric of building stadiums will most likely not remove him from office. gor officialdom depends on the same hooligans to get into office…WAKE UP.

Good ideas, he has this man. Of course he can only put them to effect if he is in charge Mr Dinga. How else can you implement a blueprint?

Wach hii campaign, deal with the following, so that we know:
Who has been recuited in to the playing unit, who is out, how are we preparing for the DSTV Supercup, has Bobby W been given a contract, what of Bobby O? these are some of the pressing questions at the moment.

    On Harambee Stars and Amrouche
If he does not want to use Kiongera, then he should release him to join Gor’s training. That is very demoralizing, not even a single playing minute in the CECAFA for him so far!!!!

Brother Adede karibu Gor.Like everyone else you are free to vie for the Chairmanship. You have got real good plans for Kogalo, however, these things are easier said than done. How do you plan to raise awareness the one billion pledge? How will you stamp hooliganism?I didn’t listen to your discourse at radio mambo, sorry. For how long have you been a supporter, not a fan,of Gor?Are you going to revamp the current administrative system or just going to improve the current? My future chairman, apart from hooliganism and the stadium issues, what else do you think ails Gor?Are you being fronted by Jubilee?Nothing wrong with that Mr Chair.Am just curious coz a certain women rep was a trustee at Ingwe and has simply went AWOL.Hers was a political move and once it was achieved she abandoned the team. There is always the fear of the unknown which explains why some people love to stick with the devil they know.Bloggers on this site have on numerous occasions highlighted what they think need some fixing. The two that you have mentioned are common issues generated by bloggers. You come across as someone well informed in management science.Kindly tell us something different. Finally, are you eyeing a political seat sometime in the near future. It has happened before.Kogalo and Ingwe chairmanships has,in the past, been used as a political launching pad.You don’t have to look far to see this.Again nothing wrong.

Welcome Mr. Adede and we need more like you to declare their candidature. What we now need to know is how you will end hooliganism which is not confined to Gor alone but is currently a Kenyan societal problem. If you think I’m wrong then visit an accident site, a fire scene or even Westgate where the people supposed to help are alleged to have helped themselves. Unless these goons get some comfortable jobs/income the problem will persist if not get worse. And this is where police come in. I would like to hear more of sponsorship and new stadium. Previously there was this SA mining company you were to bring to sponsor gor to the tune of 200m per year now it’s a billion shilling harambee. Is this from the same guys who think paying 200 bob to watch gor is too much? How about you personally sponsoring and assisting the club to pay for some of the demanded transfer fee?
Personally, I would have adviced you to go for the Vice Chair, understudy the chair and then pull a coup in the next election. It’s simple in that you will be an insider and am sure AR will be eyeing higher things than Gor, like the Senator or a Gunernatorial seat.

    Allow me my 2 cents.
Mr. Adede you have my vote as far as your strong stance against hooliganism is concerned. “Human waste is normally flushed down/out”. There’s no other way for GM to grow. Human waste must not be accomodated in GM PERIOD.
Now that you’ve accepted the obvious that the elections will be looted especially with the so called “SECRET BALLOT” How will you counter this?
Also that issue of building a stadium could be your achilles heel coz the trick has been exploited b4 and everyone is sceptical about it.
My advice to you and other candidates on how to win against the bloated “executive community”.
    1. Make a genuine committment to fans/ members maintain match fees at 150 for terraces & 450 for VIP.
We need at least 15k fans attending the home games. What’s the point of a 35K seater stadia when gate collections reflect only 3/4k fans.
    2. Promise to billboard the “human wastes”. ITS MOST EFFECTIVE & COST EFFICIENT & THE ONLY WAY LEFT TO DEAL WITH HOOLIGANISM.
BUT FANS PLIZ PLIZ SET THE AGENDA GM NEEDS A WELL STRUCTURED OFFICE THAT FOCUS ON MATTERS FOOTBALL.
AM SURE MOST TEAMS IN CECAFA WOULD HAVE RELISHED PRACTICE GAMES AGAINST GM, HENCE GIVING EXPOSURE TO OUR FRINGE PLAYERS BUT RIGHT NOW DINNERS AND GHOST SIGNINGS (A NORM SINCE OFFICE WAS VOTED IN) SEEMS TO BE PRIORITY.

    MY UNRELENTING APPEAL TO FANS/MEMBERS.

DON’T COUNT ON THE ADEDE’S OR AMBROSE RACHIER’S COZ ONCE ELECTED OFFICIALS PRIORITIES “CHANGE”.

RATHER SET OUT THE AGENDA FOR OUR BELOVED CLUB.
    Allow me to repost.

    • Again lets avoid lavish promises and work on the basics of IMPROVING MEMBERSHIP & HOME MATCHES ATTENDANCE THRU GOALS, TITLES, ENTERTAINING SOCCER & SECURITY.

    I humbly propose again:
    GMMM(GOR MAHIA’S MEMBERS MANIFESTO)=GMM(GOR MAHIA MPYA)
    FANS MUST SET THE AGENDA.

Say no 2 hooliganism, bloated EC & chaotic election driven membership.
    MEMBERS’ OBLIGATIONS:

1.Monthly contribution of 600/year(only 50/month) payable in advance, maintained in a permanent electronic register, which WILL FORM the basis 4 shares in a future coop/company. With 2k members GM will b guaranteed kshs.1.2M/year but with 20k members this bcoms 12M.
Easy coz Bwana claims FB branch has more than 5K active members.

2.Fix tickets 4 homes games 2b terraces 150 & VIP 450. GM has 2 target an average of 15K fans per home game not current 3/4k paying fans. Charging 300 so that EC can facilitate corrupt entry @ 100/50bob makes sense only to the “executive community”
With goals, entertaining soccer (the GM carpet style) & gauranteed security, attendance of 15k/home game cn b attained. For AFC & latter stage CAF games cn b @ 200/500 for terrace/VIP. GM cn raise above ksh.40M from these measures.

    3. Recall of non-performing members, but stringent threshold as 2 the time & conditions of recall must be set.

**Initial individual membership 4 GM should NEVER B DISCRIMINATORY COZ REMEMBER TERRACE GATE COLLECTIONS R THE BIGGEST REVENUE SOURCE 4 GM.

    4. Appointment of external auditor. This MUST NEVER b left 2 the EC. Pass a resolution that audited GM financials must b published in a national newspaper.
THESE PRACTICAL STEPS WILL GENERATE KSH. 12+40=52M,add Tuzo sponsorship of 29M AND YOU’VE A GAURANTEED KSH.81M.
Thats enough 4 top players, medical insurance & cn b used 2 even start on the stadium.

I’ve not mentioned donations & merchandizing which EC has mismanaged.

But 2 achieve this FANS MUST agitate 2 restructure EC into a lean board with specific measurable roles against which elected officials’ policies can b measured i.e
    1. Director Chairman-Sponsorship & Security. These r the immediate priorities for any serious candidate who must put foward concrete policies on sponsorship & security. Note Tuzo deal is only 4 one year. GAURANTEED SECURITY MEANS BETTER ATTENDANCE HENCE HIGHER GATE COLLECTIONS, which together with solid membership means club has a basis to seeking financing for even the stadium, after meeting the basics.

2.Technical & TEAM Welfare Director-Benchmarks cn b policies on medical insurance, coaches accomodation & transport, stability of team etc. A successful team is not cheap to maintain so financial loophole MUST bB SEALED.

3.Membership,Attendance,Public Relations & Transparency Director- 4 a start recruit @ least 2k members/year @600 payable in advance. Aim 4 attendance of at least 15K/home game to ensure that these 2 crucial sources of revenue r maximized. Again though donations r most appreciated the 2 mentioned sources of revenue + merchandizing r the bedrock of any big club.

In GM membership & merchandizing r poorly managed.

4.Marketing, Merchandizing Director-Ensure only genuine GM products r in the market, fakes r eradicated. Merchandize shld b ideally b retailed only by members individuals & cooperate. This is a way of encouraging uptake of membership.

    5. FIN & ADMIN DIRECTOR-Must publish audited accounts strictly 3 months after year end etc.

**LET’S DO AWAY WITH VAGUE UNMEASURABLE POSITIONS OF CHAIRMAN, 3 V.Cs & 5 Secretaries.

The elected directors should then competively hire a lean secretariat, on performance contract, 2 implement board’s policies & daily operations. Key officers shld b CEO, FIn & Admin & Technical Mgr cum Head coach (2 avoid conflicts). Due 2 limited resources Individuals should be able to multitask 2 avoid bloated secretariat.
Elected directors must pledge adequate time/ability to generate proper policies. No. of board meetings per year & compulsory attendance must approved by members.
**MEMBERS ITS U 2 SET THE AGENDA & BASIC MANIFESTOS BUT AVOID LAVISH MANIFESTOS & UNKNOWNS.
**REMEMBER SUCCESSFUL ELECTIONS HENCE EC IS A PROCESS FAILDED (CHAOTIC) ELECTIONS HENCE BLOATED EC IS AN EVENT.
As i urge qualified legends i.e Obwaka,Lule,Sianga & Makamu & also able bloggers to vie.
Let’s start the process we cn use our smses, internet etc.
TRUE GOR FANS / MEMBERS ITS TIME TO TAKE CHARGE LET’S NOT LOSE THIS GOR MOMEMENT WHEN EVERYBODY SEEMS ATTRACTED BY THE FAMOUS CLUB.
P.S REMEMBER WE CAN SIMPLY AND EFFECTIVELY ROOT OUT HOOLIGANISM BY BILLBOARDING THE IDIOTS/ “HUMAN WASTE”.
CURRENTLY MIGHTY K’GALO PLAYERS ARE REPRESENTING 3 CECAFA COUNTRIES WHAT A CLUB,
FANS ,MEMBERS LETS BUILD ON THIS.
MAINTAINING SUCH TALENT IS COSTLY GM NEEDS TO GENERATE FUNDS IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE ARRACTING 1. A LARGE NO. OF FANS 2 THEIR HOME MATCHES 2. MEMBERSHIP 3. AND CONSEQUENTLY SPONSORSHIP.
VOTE WISELY. REJECT LAVISH PROMISES, LET CURRENT EC ACCOUNT 4 THEIR LAST PRE-ELECTION PLEDGES

Is Ambrose Rachier really one of the most successful Gor Mahia Chairmen, that is in terms of achievements on the pitch.
Let’s be objective only one league title and is it 3 presidents cups after six years as chair.
What then will we say about the prevoius chairmen who served when:
    1. Gor won the Africa Cup Winners title
    2. Won the CECAFA Cup.
    3. Won the league title unbeaten & 3 years in a row etc etc.
Perhaps the more correct title is AR is one of the longest serving Gor Chairmen and only chairman to secure meaningful sponsorship for GM which is no mean feat.

@ODUOR12, my vote will be for AR. Why? AR got Gor Mahia at the relegation point or deathbed and he resuscitated to club to where it is now.

I propose that ERIC Adede should go for Vice Chairman instead to be understudy of AR. This will enable him to learn more about Gor Mahia ethos and in 2016, he will be red hot as highlighted by Barefoot Bandit.

Like mwakio my friend,my vote will be for AR.All the glory we are having today is directly attributed to his leadership and most of these aspirants have never done anything to the club, not even contributing anything to this site. They only appear during elections then dissapear to unknown territory.
