David Kiilo: Jerim here to stay

Gor Mahia Senior Vice Chairman David Kiilo insists K’ogalo skipper and goalkeeper Jerim Onyango is not for sale amid interest from Tusker Premier League rivals AFC Leopards.

Onyango has heavily been linked with a possible move to AFC, but the official moved quickly to deny claims saying the skipper is currently tied down to the club until 2015.

Extended contract

-We are just hearing it from press, but for sure AFC have not made any official approach to us.

-All the same, the chances of the club releasing him [Jerim] are very minimal; he renewed a two year contract in last transfer window that will expire in July 2015.

-Onyango has become a key player in the team and we cannot put him in the transfer market just like that. By that, I mean he is not for sale, said Kiilo to futaa.com.

Onyango was voted as the first runners-up goalkeeper in this year’s TPL awards.

It also depends on where Jery’s heart is; if he wants to go to Efusi then let him go

Yesterday Anthony Kimani really let Kenyans down as he assisted Uganda lift the trophy as he scored own goal and handled just at the edge of the box to get Uganda the free-kick that ended up being converted by Geofrey Kizito in the 92nd minute. What a captain! We were the better side throughout second half and had we gone for extra time we could have beaten Uganda since they were already under pressure.

  • Nice Jagoal you’ve done like aman. yes it happened just like normal in football, but it happened on acrucial day and nobody can rule out fate.fan could speak their best and worst on u,but this cannot offend you from doing your work as jagol Now you’ve shown us that you love Kogallo congrats,I hope you are going to do your best as jagol despite all these.

  • What a pitch. Uganda should be ashamed of that pitch. We were the better side despite the errors from Kimani. Some players on that team dont deserve a place there at all. This is my opinion: Abdalla & Kimani (midfielder) were just way below par.
The officiating was disastrous & Musonye who forever critizes his countrymen shld be ashamed.

@Waxme I do concur with you. The Anthony Kimanis did not deserve a place in Kampala. Augustine Etemesi would have done mush better. It is refreshing to know that Jerry Jagoal is going nowhere since a move to Efusi would be a recipe to kissing his footballing career a premature goodbye. It is also refreshing to learn of the players we have offloaded save for Kasaya. I still plead for revamping of the midfield.

  • For neither party to regret later let Jerry decide where he wants his career to go. Footbal is his career and he can only reap maximum now. When he leaves footbal and is struggling Kilo will not be there to even receieve his fone calls. Look at how we dropped Awilo after doing so much for the team. Not even a testimonial match to honour him

  • let jerim decide himself where he want to go ,lets look for mildfielder and good tight defenders

I totally disagree with NO.4 and 5.Unless we have been watching different tournaments,Abdalla Juma was one of our best players….better than our own Wekesa by a mile!!!Best left back in the country at the moment
Anthony Kimani proved to be solid and reliable, save for what happened in the final.Every player has a moment of madness regardless of who it is.
As for the players released,i think it will be the biggest mistake ever by Gor to release Kasaya without first getting a commitment from Jerry!!!

@jb, si utoke? Who forces you to support Gor? Kilo is the Ec member in charge of the technical bench. Loga left a list of players to leave and one for players to recruit. Kilo is just overseeing the imlementation of the coach’s proporsals.

@Mcosweto, I hope what you say will hold water…but we are waiting for the final list. I hope it will not be like what happened at the begining of year where we had Balotieno, Peter Juma, etc

@12 Gor has released GK Wycliffe Kasaya, striker George Midenyo and winger Kevin Ochieng. Others are Oscar Mbugua, Auma and Congolese Itubu Imbem

Mcosweto is right and the EC department that has somewhat delivered is the one in-charge of the technical matters starting with recruitment of Logarusic.

On CECAFA I think LOVE-A-STAR really improved in the final game, so much awareness and participation from this lad. I’ve always admire his pace and if he could improve his initial ball control and finishing (including heading) this lad could be the most lethal in CECAFA. Wonder what Nandwa told him. Gor Mahia needs someone to work with this lad one on one and the rewards will be great.

  • @ODUOR12 I think the lad might go to Ingwe with Nandwa.

@13 Allan Audi – Thanks for the info. But why was Itubu Imbem released? Mimi sioni ubaya wake. In fact towards the end of the season we really missed him when he went for trials at Vietnam. Anyway I know those who are joining (new signings) will be more aggressive so there is no need to worry; GM ni timu kubwa.

The goal that Lavatsa scored in Uganda was initiated by WERE! Lavatsa has some chemistry with WERE and I think his joining INGWE will provide the best connection between midfield and Strikers!
