Duncan Owiti out with injury

Goal poacher, Duncan Owiti known for grabbing several crucial goals has been sidelined by an injury he picked up at the Harambee stars camp. Owiti’s excellent play had earned him a call up to the Harambee stars squad that was preparing for the CHAN encounter against Uganda. He will now be replaced by Allan Otindo of Karturi Sports club.

Both Owiti and George Blackberry Odhiambo were scouted while they played for Nyanza province powerhouse, Thur Gem secondary school. Blackberry later moved to Kamkunji secondary in Nairobi. And since joining Kogalo Owiti has made an impact , often coming in as a super sub to score crucial goals and more recently as a starter.

In the absense of Owiti, his place will likely be taken by Baldwin Ngwa. The flying Camerounian has yet to find the back of the net this year but has played well in various appearances. This supporter wishes Owiti a swift recovery.

  1. Indeed I too would like to wish Owiti a quick recovery in time for the start of the second leg, lets also give Ngwa a chance coz I believe that he is hungry to show what he is capable of doing and to prove his critics wrong..

    Long live K ogallo

  2. Competition for places is good. It keeps players on their toes. And they all have to work hard to get a first team place. GM strikers really need to sharpen their finishing and learn to be poised and relaxed in front of goal

  3. Duncan Ismail, quick recovery. We dearly missed your service on Sunday 16th. Who is footing the medical bill of Owiti? Is it harambee stars of Gor? Please inform.

  4. Quick recovery Macheda. We miss you. And who is footing the bill? Again, ask Ngwa and the strikers to be composed infront of goal. We win all matches by play but lose by goals yet unfortunately it is the latter that counts for 3 points
