FKF threatens to withdraw Gor Mahia from continental

courtesy of sportsnewsarena.com

Football Kenya Federation (FKF) has threatened to withdraw Gor Mahia from participating in the Caf Confederations.

This emerged after Gor Mahia declined to call off a friendly match against Nairobi City Stars at the eleventh hour on Saturday afternoon at City Stadium.

Shortly before the match, a stormy argument issued between Gor secretary general George Bwana and FKF CEO Omondi Aduda who wanted Gor to call off the match since the Kenyan Under-23 women’s team was also due to play against Nigeria at the Nyayo National Stadium.

The exchange ended with Bwana daring Aduda to make good his threat and both matches continued as scheduled. An incensed Bwana blamed the FKF office for over stepping its mandate saying that the club had notified the federation of the planned match in good time.

Gor is scheduled to play Ferreviero de Maputo away in Mozambique on February 18th in the first leg of the second tier continental tournament.

The scene at the two venues was in stark contrast with City Stadium recording a near full-house attendance by faithful K’Ogalo followers.

Two kilometers down the road, only a spare crowd turned up to watch the Kenya vs Nigeria women’s match which the home team lost 2-0.

Is it not a case of sour grapes for Omondi Aduda? Are there any Gor Mahia players in Kenya’s female team? Is FKF indicating that attendance of matches involving the national side is mandatory for all Kenyan soccer lovers. They should have advocated for that as the new constitution was being drafted…for now it is too late.

Something tells me that this FKF is habouring some dictatorial tendencies which really has no place in our society today.

So on what grounds will they bar us from participating in the CAF matches…and who shall pay the subsequent fine that CAF will impose for the inconvenience?

Let them try elsewhere…not with Gor Mahia.

Aha so thats the news? I do not know what the rules say but this women fixture was coming from long ago? Why didn’t FKF take proactive measures not to have any other matches in Nairobi on the same day. Is somebody sleeping on the job? I know the Gor friendly was widely covered and advertised all week. So where was Aduda all week? Now he wants to withdraw Gor from continental competition, why not from KPL and all FKF competitions altogether for some good measure? Why start at CAF and not at home, some hidden agenda? Nyamweya speak up please.
However I see that as mere hot air. Lets get on with preparations without this unnecessary distraction.

Lodvic Aduda, we dare you to withdraw Kogalo now and we will see next.

Aduda, note that we did not know anything about women football in the first place and stop empty and rhetoric threats that have got no place in the modern football.

Also note that fans have all rights to choose which matches they want to watch and you cannot force this on us Kogalo fans.

Learn some basic etiquette on football matters.

I can smell a rat in the whole thing between your Chairman Sam Nyamweya and our Chairman Ambrose Rachier.

  • Even in England, football matches involving the Women National Team has never stopped EPL matches from on- going. So which FIFA law Mr. Aduda are you basing your threat to suspend Gor from CAF competition on? Our football has grown but the management has not. Thats why we still end up with clue-less and certainly myopic people like Ludovick Omondi Aduda and a certain Mr. Nyamweya leading our National Federation. Mr. Aduda, please learn the rules/laws governing football world-wide. Your slanted and overbearing reasoning has no place in management of football, especially at the national office. It is not called for and is not anybody’s kettle of fish for you to poke your nose on how a club is managing its affairs. Are we not allowed to have friendly matches during the off-season? It smells of mischief to say the least and a case of sour grapes. Whatever problem the National Association seem to have with the current Chair of Gor Mahia should completely be divorced from the club. The leadership of the The National Associations are supposed to be nationally accepted and embraced. Your leadership of the Federation, (Nyamweya and Aduda)was ‘bought’with money and will never be accepted by those who love our football, who are also in the majority. You have personal vendetta with clubs like Gor Mahia since Mr. Rachier contested against your current chairman. My advise is: “Please stay away from Gor Mahia” its for the good of the Federation and yourself. If we have not broken any law, please allow us to support our club in the only way we know best: ” Being the most colourful, obedient, noisy and loud fans.Mr. speaker sir, I beg to move the motion.

I’m beginning to doubt whether Football Kenya Federation (FKF) is going to bring any meaningful football changes in our domestic football scene. The attitude of Ludovic Aduda is just a tip of the iceberg as these officials are after money but are not interested in developing our domestic football. For example, just look at the background of the FKF office bearers starting from the top going downwards. I can say with confidence that none of them have admirable qualities or characters to hold the national office.

Just mirror at what is happening in Africa Cup of Nations final and you will agree that even small countries (federations/associations) are well organised that our FKF.

Our FKF are pre-occupied with money at the expense of developing the game. When will our local football leaders learn how to invest in football?

Football is a masses game and it requires our leaders to borrow leaf from Kalyusha Bwalya of Zambia that has transformed the Zambian national team.

    Always poor leadership begots anarchy

    THE COLD WITHIN

    Six humans trapped by happenstance
    In dark and bitter cold
Each one possessed a stick of wood,
    Or so the story’s told.

Their dying fire in need of logs,
The first woman held hers back.
For on the faces around the fire,
    She noticed one was black.

The next man looking cross the way,
Saw one not of his church,
And couldn’t bring himself to give
The fire his stick of birch.

The third one sat in tattered clothes,
He gave his coat a hitch.
Why should his log be put to use,
    To warm the idle rich?

The rich man just sat back and thought
Of the wealth he had in store.
And how to keep what he had earned
    From the lazy, shiftless poor.

The black man’s face bespoke revenge
As the fire passed from sight,
For all he saw in his stick of wood
Was a chance to spite the white.

The last man of this forlorn group
    Did naught except for gain
Giving only to those who gave
Was how he played the game.

The logs held tight in death’s still hands
    Was proof of human sin.
They didn’t die from the cold without,
They died from —THE COLD WITHIN.

  • Am perturbed by the immaturity being displayed by Nyamweya. His personal problems with Rachier are not supposed to be carried into the Mighty Kogalo affairs. Nyamweya won his battle and Rachier won is battle. Rachier has moved on, Nyamweya should move on, it’s a shame his still spoiling for war. Gor is bigger than FKF. I met Omondi Aduda in Kuche Kuche after the game and he appeared to be excited about the club, where is this coming from? He asked how we performed. He even disclosed that discussions are at an advanced stage to bring in another sponsor to Gor, quite a big corporate in the country!! He talked of the exciting young talent Kogalo has who were playing in Segenal and Guinea! He talked of Islam Omari, an exciting right back who played extremely well alongside Rama Salim and David Owino.Specifically he mentioned Islam the future of Gor (have we signed him yet/understand he was training with Gor before he left with the under 23s)?. He talked of the need to educate our fans not to be violent in the stadium now that bigger corporates are interested in adding their names to our shirt. Is Nyamweya using him to divide us? Nyamweya cannot dictate things here the Blatter way, we are not moved by their money scheming anctics. We are Kogalo! Passionate as ever, always moving forward.

Why is the FKF cutting out an image of a very intolerant and vangeful man?

Does Omondi Aduda have unfinished business with Gor Mahia? Does he want to use his tenure as CEO of FKF to settle scores?

According to an interview he gave K24 sometime back he was an executive at Gor Mahia before he fell out and moved to World Hope (Nairobi City Stars) and later to Rangers F.C. Can he be trusted to be fair when it comes to matters Gor Mahia?…Ofcourse unless he is acting at the behest of FKF chairman.

@Pod Antie. If by any chance Aduda is ours in heart as you claim, then who is using him to stroke the FIRE.they should be informed that the flames of the inferno they are conspiring to create can consume the whole nation’s futball including those trying to throw Gor into the furnace.Nyamwea is KANU made and since old habits die hard he still believes he can bend issues like they did in KANU.who do you blame in all these if not poor Kenyans who were bought with cash to vote him.If he wants WAR let him bring it ON.THE GREEN ARMY IS WAITING.

Maybe there was just an argument that went too far between Mr. Aduda and our Sec Gen. I do not think there may be any possibility of having GM withdrawn from CAF competition guys
At times we could just let the flames by looking away and not throwing more firewood into the furnace.
On the money bit.. i still believe the EC will go better by initiating and maintaining strict accountability systems and structures and we the followers will be loyal to give as much as we can afford..by the way the Harambee towards raising the six Million is very much active let each of us strive and participate.

Ocassionally we get emotional at things which are impractical. Let’s focus all these emotions at building our team. I hope all these is overzealiousness at being in office. We saw our cabinet ministers trying to outdo each other in 2003 and 2008 only to cool off after some time.

Anyway, I was impressed by the turnout on Sato where we raised close to 400K. That should be the spirit.

We were warned abt voting in Nyamweya as FKF chair, it was retrogressive, the man’s and his team are dictatorial not democratic.
1.Have you guys forgotten is “reward” of kshs.50,000 for each member of the FKK executive.
2.Have the outstanding allowances for Harambee Stars now been paid?
3.His attempts to frame H.Stars TM Oduor over no.2 above.
Shollei should remain ever vigilant he’s the only openly progressive element in the said executive.
