Now that the elections are over we can congratulate the winners but we can also embark on creating a lean and efficient EC. Apart from the Vice chair do we really need the other vice\deputy positions?

Am sorry to say this bloggers but gor mahia simply needs four positions – chairman, director of football, director of marketing and business development and finance director. All this rubbish I don’t understand. Lets embrace modern football management.

Kudos 2 fans & elected officials.
Have noted that AR, Kilo & Ngala have served together for 3/more terms. Okuku the asst. treasurer has also been retained. Hope continuity (of the good things) will be maintained & a wipe out of the clubs resources has been avoided.
Glad 2 see the following out Faiz, Bwana, Nyadega & Roselinder & that Sally Bolo didn’t make it.
Also good 2 note Pesa is a former MP.
All the best to the executive committee., please use your size 2 the advantage of GM FOOTBALL.

Am happy with the maturity shown by the fans and all Gor members. I salute Hon. Pesa for making it among the officials. Surely this man has been a serious supporter of Gor and never missed any of Gor Mahia matches. With his exprience in admistration and management (Former Pricipal of high schools and colleges) I surely think that this time Rachier has found very good person to support him and make this club better. Thank you lord.

  • Congrats to the people elected yesterday, what didn’t go down with me is how the other guy contesting for chairman behaved,he could just have waited for the announcement of the results not to walk out when he saw he was not winning but all in all its our way of doing things the Kenyan way, sometime we critic but if Dr Adede meant well for this club he should have agreed by the arrangement that was being drafted last week, sometimes its good to negotiate democratically,Kilo agreed to step down for Daktari for the benefit of the club but he rejected the offer since we wanted him to come as the sinour vice so that he can understudy Rachier for 2yrs for the good succession n continuity but he rejected that but all in all let all of us accept and move on for the benefit of this great club

Congratulations to the new office. You have all been following this blog and the comments members have been making all through. You know where the problems are and you should not wait to be reminded because when we start shouting here, you will not like it. So do it,fix them like yesterday, now you have the mandate.

The best thing that you have there in your midst is the widely experienced elder in John Pesa.He should bring in the elderly wisdom in the executive.

Congrats to Wakili Ambrose Rachier and his team for the victory as the great Chairman of the big football team in East and Central Africa.

Kudos to all fans that voted peacefully and may the Almighty God bless them abundantly for maintaining peace and tranquility during the exercise.

May also the Almighty God give Gor Mahia victory in all our games this season (KPLC Charity, KPL, GoTV, KPL Top 8, CAF Champion League etc).

I pray this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour. Amen and Amen.

@ 17 Erico J. To me its good Adede stuck to his guns & was defeated fair & square. 4 one it shows the confidence he had in himself/his policies but also any negotiated settlement would have diluted AR’s mandate. He also got a good % of the vote so he was definately heard.
Most likely we would have 2 “equal & opposing” camps in the executive, one loyal to the Chair & the other to the V.Chair. That my friend is a recipe for chaos.

Welcome new office. I would like to share the article below with all our new Gor Mahia elect office bearers.

In a sermon early in 1968, Martin Luther King Jr. quoted Jesus’ words from Mark 10 about servanthood. Then he said, “Everybody can be great, because everybody can serve. You don’t have to have a college degree to serve. You don’t have to make your subject and your verb agree to serve. You don’t have to know about Plato and Aristotle to serve. . . . You only need a heart full of grace, a soul generated by love.”

When Jesus’ disciples quarreled about who would get the places of honor in heaven, He told them: “Whoever desires to become great among you shall be your servant. And whoever of you desires to be first shall be slave of all. For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many” (Mark 10:43-45).

I wonder about us. Is that our understanding of greatness? Are we gladly serving, doing tasks that may be unnoticed? Is the purpose of our serving to please our Lord rather than to gain applause? If we are willing to be a servant, our lives will point to the One who is truly great. —Vernon Grounds

No service in itself is small,
    None great, though earth it fill;
But that is small that seeks its own,
And great that does God’s will. —Anon.

It is now time to start service to our great club and it is my prayer that our Lord will give you wisdom, knowledge and understanding to lead this great club to greater heights.

  • Congratulations to the new team. My advice is that in matters of leadership, there are ropes to be learned. Especially the people coming in, please do not try to bulldoze even if you have the brightest ideas. Remember that it takes a collective effort. That is why you are a team. Secondly, matters of the board room that we do not need to know, please keep them there. What we need to know please use the laid down procedures and I am sure you will be a great team. You have challenged us as supporters. The peaceful elections is a pointer that during the season, we must carry ourselves peacefully but still be very passionate about our Team.Let us not let each other down. The team I saw playing a friendly on saturday, is rearing to go.It was a beautiful game.

the demands of the fans cannot allow for a lean office. devolution is a must.

just like kenjwa ni(our Kenya), we went for devolution because Kenyans were too demanding.

lets hope they will not overtax us to find the positions

Now that Kiongera and Lavatsa have gone yet we had them in our plans can we get the unsettled Wendo to fill the gap?. How about Ochomo, though I know he had discipline issues at Ulinzi? Even Gattuso is now a free agent. I hope he matures though.
I know the TB is competent on these matters but that is my wish as a layman.I also know that there must be a limit to the number of players we can have as well as field only 11 at a time. Maybe i am being greedy.
