Gor Mahia overcome Thika United

Despite the off the field drama and shenanigans going on off the field, Kogalo players put their focus on the game in hand and managed to beat Thika United 2-1.

Thika took an early lead after only seven minutes. But Kogalo fought back, cheered on by their partisan fans and finally levelled the score on 34 minutes. The goal came via a booming freekick by Francis Akango “Jakambare”. His freekick reminded fans of the legendary Bobby Ogolla or George Odembo who was dubbed “artillery” for his booming shots.

The winning goal came on 89 minutes by Francis Ocholla and sent Kogalo faithful into a frenzy.

  • This win was very crucial in the wake of the on goings in the club, it shows how great spirit Gor has, never say die like the legendary Gor Mahia. Kudos to Kogallo

  • Keep the spirit going, and let’s march to the top mos mos wathi mbele. You have to agree with me that our goalkeeping is the undoing. Let’s now focus for Wednesday and the boys should not leave it late to win the match or else we be punished.
