Kogalo picked up three crucial points on their visit to western province. The match was played at Mumias complex after KPL deemed Bukhungu stadium unsuitable.

Kogalo’s resident “rastafarian” , Moses Odhiambo, making a comeback to the starting lineup was once again the pivotal player, creating havoc in the Stima defence each time he touched the ball. In the 37th he set up Ochomo with a glorious chance but Ochomo missed the chance. 7 minutes later, he ran dangerously into the Stima goal area but his goalbound shot was blocked.

Western Stima played with one less player after one of their players was red-carded in the 55th minute. Kevin Omondi, Demonde Selenga and Haji Mwachoki fcame on for Dan Makori, Moses Odhiambo and Wycliffe Ochomo respectively

The match seemed destined for a goalless draw when substitute Kevin Omondi powered home a thunderous drive from 30 yards in the 85th minute.

The match gave Kogalo fans something to celebrate especially those who attended the match. It was welcome news especially after fracas ensued when Gor Mahia fans travelling convoy was attacked as they travelled through Luanda in western Kenya.

Gor Mahia are still in 3rd place with 34 points.

Congrats kogalo for the away win. Quick recovery to the soldiers who were injured at Luanda. League marwa.

  • HOW CAN A PHONE DROPPED CAUSE A SCUFFLE?

With all due respect to our travelling fans, we wish all those who sustained injuries quick recovery. we look forward to see you in the stadium soon.

Impeccable sources told us that a GM fan,who was hanging dangerously in one of the hired buses, dropped his phone. A bodaboda rider picked up the gadget. Got fans roughed up the gentleman and the villagers joined in. The incident occured at Luanda .

I have always urged fans to exercise responsibility wherever they go. These little incidences normally dent the image of the club. You are our ambassadors. Each fan must be accountable both individually and collectively. That should be the mantra.

Otherwise i thank our boys for collecting maximum points on the western outing. We have entered the final stretch of the leaque where men will be seperated from boys. We shall not and we shall not miss. Because we are Emmanuel.

  • papamiky says:

Parayio, you were misinformed. I was there.
one of the fun dropped his phone while running for the bus as it was taking off. it was at that point that his phone dropped. whoever picked it wanted to run away and that is when solidarity showed itself. I am not condorning in anyway mob phsychology but sincerely the fun wanted his phone back! period! no one disereved what happened yesterday!
I will advice everyone to be the better person at all times!
it was a good match and by day, let us collect all the remaining points.

Lavatsa, ooh I miss you boy, Ochomo, it was not your day. thanks Kevo. Remember Moses odhiambo? no doubt that with the composure we have with the likes of Moses Otieno and masika, we can control anyone now. I have a problem with makori and selenga… I still dont feel their presence… I dont know………but yesterdays late inclussion was thoughtfull for selenga.

By the way, do we have a scouting department?

I think Kosero is a hero worshiper..he’s bent on shouting everyone who speaks his mind down..may be some people here are still living in the days of Kanu ni Baba na Mama..

But thank God several of us have the guts to see and speak..Kosero and others who think we don t appreciate results kindly live up, we do appreciate quantity and quality at the same time.

We will not take anything without analysis..if anything hasn’t our Good God blessed us with eyes and brains! and so shall we not think and speak? I promise you we will.

    Comments.
    1. If a good defender was released and other players were played out of position during Mathare game must we not mention it? if anything numerous complains were raised from many quarters.
2.Who tells you we are not happy when GM wins. But still if its scrappy our eyes can see.
    3. If good players are out of vicinity who has a right to stop us from posing a question?

Kosero prepare to read a lot from us coz GM is for all of us and we will not stop commenting on pertinent issues whether we win, lose or draw..i repeat our part is to encourage the players towards playing well and additionally to win and no one is encouraged with lies ..we will not hold our peace to condone mismanagement and mediocrity..

  • Albert Kosero (Sofaset Branch - Kampala) says:

@Agwa Kassam, it is well within your democratic rights to air your views on any matter under the sun. However, the problem with majority of contributers to this forum is that they are not consistent in their comments. How come you guys only bad mouth the coach and the players when they draw. Some of you talk of luck whenever GM picks a point. How come the other teams are alway unlucky against Gor. How come Gor has been lucky in the 16 out of 18 matches they have played. I dont think we are being fair to the coach and the players. Lastly, leave the fielding of players to the coach. Let the coach take responsibility. He is the one who prepares the team, therefore you cannot wake up and start question why a non performing defender was released. Stick to your role which is cheering the team. There can only be one head coach at a time. For God and my club – Kogallo.

KEVO CAN TURN OUT TO BE ONE OF THE GREATEST TALENTS EVER UNEARTHED IN KENYAN FOOTBALL.THE CALMNESS THAT HE PICKED THE BALL AND EFFORTLESSLY FLOATED IT OVER THE KEEPER SPEAKS VOLUMES ABOUT HIS SUBLIME SKILLS.ADD THIS TO THE GLORIUS WINNER AGAINST ULINZI AND ANALYTICAL FANS WILL GET MY POINT.HE HAS TO WORK ON HIS CROSSINGS THOUGH.THAT IS THE COACHS TASK.GM NEEDS A COACH WHO CAN NURTURE THE SKILLS THAT ABOUNDS IN THE SQUAD.IF THEY CAN PUT THE BALL DOWN AND WORK ON THEIR PASSING,OFF THE BALL MOVEMENT AND PRODDING THEN THE LEAGUE WILL BE WRAPPED UP BY SEPTEMBER.OTHERWISE THE LONG BALLS WILL LEAD TO MORE DRAWS AND LOSING GROUND.REMEMBER OUR GOAL DIFFERENCE MAY NOT HELP US IN THE LONG TERM.

  • Vincent Ocampo says:

Quick recovery to those injured.thanx to those whom assisted in any way.kudos to George Seda nxt tym we r there we shall inform u in advance.

  • Joe Riaga says:

    @Kosero
I believe the point people are making is that a club like Gor Mahia with so many higher calibre players should not struggle to beat teams like Mathare , Thika and Stima. These teams should be routed into submission. Stima has no national team players. Gor Mahia is surviving on the individual brilliance of players like Moses Odhiambo, Masika, Jerim, Kevo na wengineo. The system is not making them win.

Even Stima playing with one man down almost forced a draw.

Some of the fans are registering valid complaints. Like why the long ball system ?
At the end of the day, everyone wants the best for Kogalo.

  • ODUOR12 says:

It an open secret that K’galo’s weakest link is the bench that can only produce narrow wins n draws were we r outclassed. We r 3rd not 1st coz of poor tactics but GOD seems to b on our(and Zico’s) side n we might just win the league if the others SLIP UP

  • domtilla nyanjom says:

It is a case of the proverbial warthog…that got over the thickets and stopped running for dear life simply because he could not see the lion behind that thicket..

The league will be won over 30 games and I guess the draws will not do it? The coach needs to employ more brains in mastering the passing game from the mid and that killer pass that blackberry used to latch to an awol… a shaking net

watch this space, Karuturi are coming!

Congrates Kogalo the boys played a greate game yesterday keep the fire burning until the trophy is awarded the team and lifted by the captain. The coach did well by bringing in Selenga in the 2nd half coz he is not a 90 minutes player.

  • ODUOR12 says:

The people who ave played soccer r K’galo legends n theres no Ja Ngere in that list. What’s apparent is that uve not seen the beautiful game K’galo style(where were u 5/6 DEC87 i was at kasarani, heard of Len Julians he made GM a barca) as for the the question is simple y did it take 8months 2 get it n what a coincidence that only with a certain interest in KF elections. Lastly my friend a test guage ua objectivity against tusker how many fans attended around 15k or 7k as per “official” records

  • Albert Kosero (Sofaset Branch - Kampala) says:

@Oduori12, you are a perrenial “sulker”. You sulk about everything. Why dont you vie for chairmanship of GM and make the changes you keep shouting about. I am almost 100% sure that you do not have a clue of how a football club is run leave alone Gor Mahia and thats why you keep yaping on virtually everything. If you cant be member of the executive of Kogallo, then the best thing to do is to remain an ardent follower like the rest of us. Remain loyal, stop mourning over nothing. For God and my club – Kogallo

  • Pundit says:

Fellow Kogallo fans..Gor is a mighty club. we love GM with all our hearts and we all hope to win the league convinsingly….but wait a minute..it is high time we get game plan coz the long balls are just not working..it’s high time we revamp our midfiled and play passing soccer coz possesion is Key here..only then will we be comfortable enough to score 3 or 4 goals per week. The coach should be an adviser to the players especially on lifestyles away from the pitch…they need to reduce intake of alcohol as this will hinder their own growth in terms of soccer. I say this from my heart i don’t drink but because i know the effects of excessive drinking/drugs on sportsmen/women..alcohol weakens a sportsman..it weakens the muscles and running becomes a problem.
I say this coz i know our players and you can note their speed has been reducing over time…they are not running as fast as they used to when they joined fresh from High School.
May God bless the Gor Family

  • ODUOR12 says:

Yes A Kosero as a self confessed member of the Sofaset Branch Kampala is an admission that you don’t attend any K’galo games. Note that we’ve called ua bluff severally on this forum Mr. Stakeholder. It seems you always take it personally when the office and the bench is criticized as if ua someone’s lapdog. GM is known for free flowing, high scoring soccer with exciting midfielders. Take time to come and watch the game then we can take u seriously. Ave also noted that u never really analyse a match better rather give general comment as from a newspaper.

  • Pod antie says:

Kosero How can you talk about supporting Gor from a sofa in front of people? Do u know how much it pains to travel for a draw? Especially to Mombasa and Mumias? You both are probably Sofapaka fans and you are invading our site/chat house. I don’t see anything in you that gives quality and constructive criticism to Gor. Oduori12, you mean well, Salawowo, Domtilla, we need your brains and thanks for nall those who think like you that i have not mentioned. To all Kogalo fans, let’s contribute positively

  • wuonpap says:

LETS ALL BE OBJECTIVE AND RESPECT OTHER PEOPLES VIEWS.CRITICISM IS INVITED AS IT POINTS OUT THE FLAWS IN THE TEAM.WHAT IF WE WIN THE THE LEAGUE AND GO FOR THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE,WITH OUR LOW SCORING AVERAGE HOW FAR WILL WE GO.THE LEGENDS OF THE EIGHTIES COULD SCORE EVEN FIVE GOALS AWAY FROM HOME.THE TACTICS WE EMPLOY TODAY MAKES US STRUGGLE TO SCORE EVEN 1 GOAL AT HOME?! WHY CANT THE TEAM TRAIN ON THE ASTRO-TURF AT CITY STADIUM INSTEAD OF THE THREADBARE PITCH WE SEE THEM TRAINING ON? OUR DEFENCE IS OKAY BUT THE MIDFIELD AND WINGS ARE NOT CONSISTENT.LONG BALLS ALWAYS END UP IN US GIVING UP POSSESSION FOR WHICH WE MIGHT PAY DEARLY AS WE ALMOST DID DURING THE GAME AGAINST TUSKER.LET ZEDDY RESEARCH WIDELY ON HOW TO MAKE THE MIDFIELD AND WINGS CAN WORK.HE CAN GET EVEN VISUALS OF TOTAL FOOTBALL FROM YOU TUBE TO SHOW PLAYERS HOW TO MAINTAIN POSSESSION AND WORK ON THEIR OFF THE BALL MOVEMENTS.THE PLAYERS WE HAVE HAVE TALENT IN ABUNDANCE.ITS UP TO THE COACH TO BRING THE BEST OUT OF THEM.

    All
Please do not resort to insults. I believe most people here are Kogalo fans who want the best. We are all here to support the club and propose ideas to better the club.

We can challenge each other but still be civil with each other Lets not turn this into a free for all.

All Thanks again for supporting Kogalo and this site. Lets all proomote the club together civilly

  • LET US SET CLEAR & REALISTIC GOALS FOR KOGALO

In football speaking, Gor fans are the most optimistic in Kenya if not in Africa. This Can be attributed to the strong passion and unflinching support they have for the club. The Y- generation fans of Kogalo – forming 98 percent of the fan base have upped the game. In the stadium they don baseball caps, replica jerseys , headphones in their ears listening to their favorite songs on their iPods or sophisticated cellphones. Others are seen googling, facebooking & tweeting.

On reading most of your comments, I fail to understand whether we have set clear and realistic goals for our club. Do we all know what we want to achieve this season? What was our highest achievement last season? What must we do as fans to realize this goal? Do we know our roles?

The officials are aware of the expectations of fans. The coach and his technical bench is equally conscious of this fact. Gor was the runner up during 2010 season. This yea, our goal is to win the cup. To achieve this gaol require careful planning and strategy. It is the coach to deliver the winning strategy for us. He prepare training sessions, dictate the formation to use, sactions who to field and son and so forth.

Other issues like bus, youth academy, club merchandise and be handled by a competent secretariat. I am not in any suggesting that this are not important. They deserve utmost priority.

My brothers & sisters, to paraphrase the words of one American president, Ask not what Kogalo can do for you but what you can do for Kogalo.

  • mwakio says:

@?pareyio ole lelerue my goals for the office to achieve are:-
    1) Win KPL in 2011
    2) Set up Gor Mahia Academy for both under 18 and 15 years
    3) Eradicate corruption within the gate collections and maximise gate collections. This can be done by setting all officials and fans engaged into practice to KACA and expelling them from the club activities that include banishing them from attending all Gor Mahia matches.
    4) Turn the club into a limited liability company with the purpose for listing in the Alternative Market Segment (AIMS) at the Nairobi Stock Exchange (NSE)
    5) Buy 15 acres land and build a 45,000 seating capacity stadium with a club house, players apartments, hostels for hire, restaurant and bar
    6) Open up outlets for the sale of club merchandises such as replica jerseys, caps, track suits, pens, stickers, towels, carpets, cups, watches, scarves, school geometric sets, rulers, etc
    7) Restructuring the club by undertaking the following activities;
    A) Set up a strong sectariat office with fully equiped communication equipments
    B) Set up an organisation structure lead by Chief Executive Officer, finance manager, marketing and fund raising manager, administrator & procurement manager, recruitment manager, PR officer and 5 support staffs
    C) Set up a 5 board of directors
    D) set up corporate governance structure to improve the financial, recruitment of members, social responsibilities, create public awareness and marketing the brand of Gor Mahia etc

  • KOSERO, JOE RIAGA & MWAKIO: WHO ARE THEY?

Please allow me to introduce the three gentlemen.

They are ardent supporters of GM & regular contributors on this forum. So, what do these guys have in common?

Their opinions, general comments and suggestions are fair, objective & balanced. I respect all the rest but I believe the 3 guys have tried to shape our thinking moving forward. There is no need to continue lamenting of the ‘good old days’ by GM. This site have archived those golden years of yore.

They show great respect to our coach & his technical bench. how do you expect our players to react if they read some stuff you post here? Each of our boys deserve respect& unbiased criticism. They have earned their place in the club purely on merit.

Guys, keep up the good work. You truly deserve commendation.
Lastly, the campaign for Kenyans for Kenya is still on. I wish to appeal to all of you to donate generously to this noble cause. Our brothers & sisters in northern Kenya deserve The our support. In our characteristic Kenyan heart, you can put a smile on someone’s face.

  • Agwa Kassam says:

Brother Salapata, Nyanjom, Oduori12,Pod Antie and like minded GM fans..

It has taken years for Kosero to admit that he’s been watching from a foreign land..no wonder to him everything has been perfect including:

    i) Our miserable away show at Nakuru against Chemelil Sugar.
ii)Our Scrappy draw with Mathare..horrible show against Sofapaka.

These kind are the people who see no wrong with a wait for 8 months after contributing for the bus..as much as it has been delivered the question as to why so long a time is justified?

Truly, the culture of nurturing School boys served us well to date including the likes of Lavatsa, Kip, Owiti, Kev Omondi and others but to him and a few others..to him collecting rejects from other premier league clubs is a wonderful idea..not withstanding that every team and well known corporates maintain positive cultures.

Furthermore, to them reported leadership of our young players by drug addicts in the technical bench is no problem..now i understand.

Before i stop i must reiterate what someone mentioned yesterday and is in the minds of so many of us..WITH THE LONG BALL AND GUESS WORK PHILOSOPHY OF ZICO IF WE WIN THE LEAGUE HOW FAR WILL WE GO AGAINST OTHER CHAMPIONS.

Yes we are effectively position two in the rankings but we must be concerned about our quality of play! Football is entertainment not just winning as winning sometimes don’t just come as expected and our team should lead others going by standards expected of us.. to him that is living in the past and all must shut up to give the coach space..now we understand you are too far to comprehend..

  • Agwa Kassam says:

I am even suprised that the admin had to edit some of your comments. Lets be civil, we are not in the stoneage. For God and my club – Kogallo

  • ODUOR12 says:

Ja Ngere & Ole Lelerue(to mild extent) what’s this bitterness and intolerance that can lead you to trush the glory years of the club you claim to love so much. Where will the current team draw inspiration from if not the performance of the team of the eigthies (and before) especially (1987) that won a treble, doesn’t Ochomo want to emulate our legendary srikers-Hesbon Omollo, Sonyi or Dawo. Yes the admin. of this site and other have archived those golden years so that the ones who weren’t yet around can know the rich history and achievements. This is to motivate K’galo back to the days when whenever you opened a newspaper the sports heading was “Mighty Gor Wins Again”.About technology again I refer you to the archives for the makeup of the most skilled players or coaches who won trophies for Gor.Its not only K’galo but such players as Maradona r quoted as the world’s best coz of performances in 1986. Yes we can be on opposing sides to the debate but lets not reduce ourselves to dismissing stellar achievements by K’galo.

I have been with kogalo nation both the PAST and PRESENT,and it is still my wishful thinking that my spirit will dwell inside kogalo in the LAND OF DEAD in FUTURE when am long gone to the opposite of life.

Am still wondering how we are becoming very personal with individual post-match assessment and comments, using strongly worded abusive language and even bragging at the expense of “togetherness spirit”.

PLEASE “KOGALO NATION” LET US COOL DOWN OUR RHETORIC.

Its just a matter of three weeks are we are on top of the table for good.

We shall get nine more points from karuturi, ulinzi and kcb .

I have discussed all the issue’s raised in this website with ZICO and he is very much aware that “The Green Army” needs two very important things from him.
    1. GOR MUST WIN WITH BIG GOAL MARGINS
    2. FAN MUST SEE AND JUSTIFY ENJOY ENTERTAINING AND WELL DRAFTED FOOTBALL

I have no problem to those good old days of GM. Infact I am benefitting alot from our club archives.

You have every right to comment but excercise responsibility. in your small way, you contributing positively for the club. I respect your opinion but let us forge a common goal for kogalo.

Thanks again. By the way, this site need upgrade. It is a topic for another day.

agwa kassam,u’ve raised important issues and i agrede with you.some of our games have been anything but impressive, the bus took abnormally long to arrive and we should continue to identify and nurture new talent rather than go the ‘afc way’.But why kassam!why do you undo the gains you’ve made by going for the technical bench with a sledge hammer? I also don’t agree with some of the things they do,but i dont think they are that bad.by east African club standards, our football is still one of the best.we’re still not there yet but we’ll certainly get there.

The league is very tight, has any of u guyz talking about lack of goals looked at goals aggregate for the first 4 teams.Tusker has +12,Rangers +13,Mayienga +7,ULinzi +6.So instead of always critizing let give team the moral support in the 2nd leg.

  • Ja Ngere says:

    Okoth jabilo,

    Lets b on time.

  • Albert Kosero (Sofaset Branch - Kampala) says:

@Ja Ngere, that is one fact some of us have refused to see. Teams are just losing by 1 – 0 margins in this league. Mafans lets accept that fact that gone are the days when the league had 22 mediocre teams. Those were the teams to beat 5 – 0. League is tough and will be decided on the last day of the league. Ironically the “underperforming” kogallo are the front runners in this years league. I think some of us are simply being unfair to the team. Criticism is fine but it must be fair. Ati wanasema luck. Why cant Congo United be lucky? I remain loyal and hopeful that we shall clinch this title this year. For the doubting Thomases please continue doubting. For God and my club – Kogallo.

Gor family i would like ODUOR12 to continue on goals againt. This are the statistics that we ought to look at if we really want to b champs.

  • mwakio says:

Can we comment on what we would like Kogalo to achieve in the next 12 months? Where do fans see our club in December? Should continue to faithfully pay gate collections that usually ends up into some hyenas officials and rogue fans? Can we close all loophole at the entry gate for our club to maximise in gate collections? Can we have an organised systems for distributing club merchadises and replica jerseys? Can officials update fans on ongoing progress at the club? Can office lead the way in turning club into a limited liability company and a professional outfit? Can we academies to nurture the sprouting talents? Can we have GM TV? Can we contribute to our brothers and sisters who are dying of hunger due to massive and prolonged drought effects? Can executive committe be replaced with board of directors and management team that can take Gor Mahia to greater heights?

  • papamiky says:

Brothers, to many of your comments, I can only find a handfull of positive comments for the club. The rest of us are using this platform to throw insults and ridicule others.
Someone has put it so well, what are you doing for the club? instead of lamenting and putting demands and ultimatums to the club to sound….I want…I want…..do something.
I am ready to be in the commercial and fundraising team as a volunteer.
Someone has also brilliantly suggested the kogalo for Kogalo fellowship, please come up with a day to brainstorm. I am so willing to contribute my expertise to my Team.
    I love Gor with Passion!!!!!!

  • ODUOR12 says:

Responding to Ja Ngere -Goals against Tusker 9,K’galo 10 etc. The fact is the defence(including the keeper) has been good. The problem starts with the midfield and the frontline where we been relying sorry to say(according to me) on individuals like Love-A-Star,M.O. We have very few players ready to take on defenders one on one, the other problem is too many times the our players pass the ball backwards, hence overworking our defence. My observation is that any rival whose midfield puts the ball down and knocks it about (i.e the one two) usually ends up totally outplaying us.Our frontline are also not keen on burying those loose balls.
On another matter why are the transfer fees for KPL players not made public while elsewhere its common knowledge.Might be a good way too see if a player is giving us value for money.Honestly i think Selenge shld gave scored 4/5 goals by now.Papamiky i feel you, the facebook branch has great ideas try researching it

  • I HAVE A PROPOSAL

    My dear comrades.

For a long time now, I have read here and elsewhere that you needed a company to manufacture your mechardise like yesterday.

Here is my proposal. Starting a company is not rocket science. A successful company like Google was incubated in the hostels by two young but enterprising students, Larry & Sergy. Both were second year students at the prestigious Stanford University in the US. Closer home, the proprietor of Zetech group of colleges started with a borrowed computer. He worked in his room at the UoN. Kamlesh Patni was only 24 when he present em oh one ( MOI) with Goldenberg Ltd. By the way I was a great fan of Patni during the goldendberg proceedings at KICC.

What does these men have in common?

They were armed with ideas but they acted on it. I can assure you their paths was not paved with gold, but they had the tenacity to see their dreams come true.

Now, why are we always apportioning blame to somebody else? Because we don’t want to think hard.

I want us to start a company. And let’s say we want to raise ksh 5 million. To achieve this into 5,000 shares. Each share to be sold at Ksh 1,000. Guys I am a practical man.

Any serious guys out there? if u believe u the kind of person am talking about, contact me at plelerue@ yahoo.com. Let us get the ball rolling.

  • papamiky says:

Im with you Pareyio. my mail follows:
By the way, its far over due for the secretariat to come out with sanity on how much the club has spent and how much is in the kitty.
All of you contributors are doing this because you want accountability.
The chairman can use this platform to give us the breakdown if he can not call for any meeting soon!by the way, Is he still the chairman? He can not hold two posts!!!!!!

  • @Jabilo Okoth, thank you for knowing the progress of the team, and to many others who constructively contribute to pertinent issues facing our club, a big thank you . . . .Ulinzi game has been moved to Nyayo Stadium( confirmed), . . . .with 11 or so matches to go, we hope for a terrific run of 5 games unbeaten( all wins) so as to assert our authority on the title, games are coming do fast and thick, but with your support the Mighty K’ogallo shall win them all, . . .wishing you all a good day and if you have time, you can pass by City Stadium to watch the team train daily @1600 hrs GMT,. . . .

  • Mwakio says:

@pareyio ole lelerue, you are not getting what I meant by commenting on turning Gor Mahia into a limited liability company. This is not about setting a company to manufacture our merchandises and other accessories. There are companies and people outside there that have competence in the field of manufacturing like Adidas, Legea, Nike, Puma etc. The working of designing and ensuring total quality assurance is guaranteed can not be done by any local company.

  • Agwa Kassam says:

People i don’t think we lack any ideas..not any minute or second..the fact is, if we are all GM fans then everything undertaken in this view should be led from the management.

As have been pointed out by one of us i’ve been counting days wishing as well that the current office gives space for hopefully a modern clique who understands that GM must be managed through the branches to enhance accountability and togetherness..just look at the way fb branch spearheaded the bus project and now we have the bus.

I bet all our branches have ideas commercial and social that can bring about financial and social benefits to the club but because the management do not want development their modus operandi speaks it all..stay away from the branch leaders and you can do anything you like..resulting in-fake tickets sold at venues, fake replica jerseys, stolen gate collections etc.
Fellow GM fans i hear some fans happy to talk about leaders of GM having spent millions of their money ..then i ask what is the use of branches? How much have they spent? who are other donors and how much have they contributed? And loudly do i ask how comes the bus took 8 months after we contributed..Guys couldn’t we be talking about the stadium or the TV now and others as we progress?

And if it takes 8 months to shop and buy a Mini bus how long will it take to commission an TV station and commission a Stadium? These so called leaders are a big impediment to anything called development.

    I WONDER! OVER TO YOU

  • Albert Kosero (Sofaset Branch - Kampala) says:

@Agwa Kassam, why dont you vie for chairmanship when elections are called then you transform all this things on your wish list into reality. Why do some of us want to think that their money is being misappropriated. Before we start pointing finger, could someone in this forum, draw for us the expenditure involved in running a club like GM in a month. Then lets compare it with the revenue recieved in a month. After that is done, we can be at liberty to point fingures. I am almost certain that the expenditure overshoots the revenue. It does not require a genius to see that. Let us not be blinded by 1M gate collections raised from home matches guys. That money is very little. We need to be looking at how we can attract more fans into GM matches and not baseless accussation. Lets always try to be factual in whatever we say. For God and my club – Kogallo

  • Agwa Kassam says:

@ Kosero and others who might have misunderstood me for accusing the mgt..please understand am not and i’ll never accuse anyone..

    1. I am saying and its true that we are many (GM fans) and we are willing to contribute!
2.The gate collections are at 1m coz a part of it is not collected it should be more and its not just me seeing this.
3.Our branch officials have not been able to answer us on many development ideas we float for lack of meetings with the mgt.
4.With the management outlining expected expenditure and revenues it becomes easy and objective to finance the budget rather than being told so and so is shouldering the team.
5.Fans in other sites are talking of fake jerseys.
6.There have been complains of fake tickets.
7.Several ideas have been floated but yet to be implemented.
8.There are adverts of come buy the old adidas jersey at such and such a place..which one is on sale..is it the new legea or the old adidas and which one is official or are both official..is the promised shop at Nyayo operational brothers..

This is what i mean to say nothing personal..maybe someone else who understands what i’m trying to put across kindly convey it better to others who get it Kosero way..i am not accusing the officials at all.
Then i’ll ask again what is the purpose of having branches if they cannot put resources together to promote the team if someone somewhere can spend his money plus the Tuzos and the Super sports..in this case we’d rather just attend matches and go home.

Lastly on this, it would be very desperate for anyone to use this noble site to malign others in a quest to be chairman or gain any other unfair mileage..Kosero am not about that..i stand to be corrected.. Am not vying am contented with my branch membership ..and still am willing to contribute to GM projects just like my colleagues in various branches of GM.

  • ODUOR12 says:

Kosero I can bet from ua sofaset you take as gospel truth that 7000 fans attended the Tusker game. Let me tell on behalf of those who were actually there ATTENDANCE WAS IN EXCESS OF 15000. My God you r simply unbelievable. Even AFC match had a discrepancy. This latest catch phrase of yours “why don’t vie for chairmanship” is hollow. Your reasoning is also suspect, y shld someone frm this site draw up the expenditure for running a club like GM in a month. Y can’t the officials give us that expenditure they have it, y deal with fiction when the facts r there. We r infact questioning the 1M gate collections coz from attendance we shld be getting 2M. I don’t see anything baseless abt seeking accountability. Sorry to say but as some quoted ua a true relic of Mama na Baba era.

  • Albert Kosero (Sofaset Branch - Kampala) says:

@Oduor12, mafans, let us go to the basics. Under what law are you guys demanding for accountability at this point in time? @Agwa Kassam, did I read that you belong to some branch? Such information should be obtained through your branches or during AGM’s. No one on this forum is telling us whether he/she has attended Gor’s AGM and failed to be obtain the financil report of the club. Why do we want to assign ourselves roles that are not ours. I keep saying that let us concentrate on our role of cheering kogallo unreservedly. When Gor was almost going to the dogs 4 -5 years ago, only a few people like Chairman were there to stand by the club, now that he has turned around the club for the better, “the Jonny come late” are emerging from God knows where, with some funny demands. Chairman you deserve respect, dont respond to every Dick Tom and Hurry. Stick to the laws that govern Gor. You have members mandate to steer Gor. You are doing a very commendable job. Dont allow yourself to be distracted. For God and my club -Kogallo.

  • Pundit says:

Friends..a guy in UGANDA CANNOT have a true picture of GM affairs….please forgive him and/or take his comments for granted….those of us who attend Kogalo matches can see and we know how things are on the ground….it’s the opposite for the sofaset guys.

  • jakojera 9 says:

The time for CORRUPTION AND GREED IS GONE, the time for TRANSPARENCY AND ACCOUNTABILITY has come……….

  • Albert Kosero (Sofaset Branch - Kampala) says:

@Pundit do u agree that u can sit next to the teacher in class and end up getting nothing, same way you can even be sleeping next to Gor’s training ground, leave alone attending matches but end up knowing very little about the club. Corruption is unacceptable but it must be fought within law. Mob lynching will not work. @Jakojera 9, use the right channel to request for accountability. I hope no one is expecting chairman to be posting accountability on this forum. Hold your horses, ask for accountability during AGM. My last question b4 I reserve my energy for Karaturi match tommorow is: fine we are asking for accountability, transparency etc, but who exactly are we? Legally speaking we are strangers as far as our relationship with Gor is concern. Legitimate members will wait for the right forum to ask for accountability etc which is during AGM (slated for end of the year). I stand corrected if I am wrong. For God and my club – Kogallo

  • Mondeng says:

Rest assured we are happy to share the views of the fans, especially those based in Nairobi. We ,however, want you to know that Kogalo fans are world wide.We depend on the fans more than the newspapers for the latest..Without a doubt the boys are continously putting a smile on our faces.I live for Gor Mahia, Rumba mamit and my baby in my arms. Can u imagine life without Kogalo?

  • jakojera 9 says:

am at the stadium tommorow VIP kosero where will u be? we need to hook up so that u give me direction…..fellow fans tommorows match is not as easy as u may think there would be need to have alot of patience more so when those strikers keep missing obvious chances…..remember Karaturi always wants to spoil our party. Be at the stadium by 1pm

  • Pod antie says:

Pundit and like-minded kogalo fans, do not respond the sofaset branches, they are out to irritate rather than contribute positively. I told you which club they actually support. Meanwhile, let’s turn up in our usual numbers tomorrow, though i know the collections will not exceed Kes 1M. I wonder why this game is big played at City when it could have attracted more gate collections at Nyayo.

  • Albert Kosero (Sofaset Branch - Kampala) says:

@Pod antie, what is irritating you now? Is it because it has come out clearly that you are demanding what you do not have a say over? Lets stick to our role of cheering Mayienga with all our hearts. Kiny waromuru e pap sama chon. Siasa mag pesa aboro go to were uru go. For God and my club – Kogallo

  • Sam Dola says:

Fox, tommorrow’s march will be from 3.00pm and ‘Live’ on SP9.Spread the Gopspel.

  • Agwa Kassam says:

Pod antie i get you very well, but on analysis you realize these people normally react obnoxiously to our noble ideas, its not possible to ignore them since they’ll wait to pounce on anyone contributing positively..they are also notorious for name calling and abrasive language making the situation very sorry to many..

Well, Sunday matches normally attract bigger fans and especially at Nyayo i concur that we could have maximized collections at Nyayo.

  • papamiky says:

Oduor 12, very true. OCS can turn out to be the best striker kenya has gotten so far! can someone try him on friendlies?

  • Fred Tambo says:

Honestly I think Zeddy is Lucky,we Just have good Players.I say This with Conviction Because of how he has Juggled the starting Line up and still fail to get that Knockout Punch….Bench Power is the one that wins the game..But at the same time The starting Line up hold the team’s lifeline.I Just hope that we can start training even harder as we did before AFC game so as to finish with a statement…League is tough and we have to now weka mtu/Funga Mtu …because we’re already down on goal difference…Over to you comrades
