Finally, Congolese striker Itubu Imbem and former Nairobi City Stars FC captain Oscar Mbugua have officially completed a dead-line move to Gor Mahia FC.

Both players have been registered by the Kenyan Premier League meaning that they are now free to play for K’ogalo.

Cleared

Confirming the news to futaa.com, Secretary General George Bwana said that Imbem has acquired a work permit that barred him from playing their second leg opener against Western Stima FC.

Mubiru Uncertain
Even with the mid-season transfer window set to close in a number of hours, Gor Mahia FC are still hopeful that they will manage to sign Eddie Mubiru, of Uganda’s Kampala City Council [KCC].

Effort

As at Saturday 30 June morning, the player had not yet secured a release from his parent club, though Gor Mahia officials were on the ground trying to beat the transfer deadline.

-We are still in negotiations with KCC, though they are asking for a very large amount, Gor Mahia’s Secretary General, George Bwana told Futaa.com.

-However, we are optimistic that by the close of the day, we shall have the player on our side, either on loan, or on a long-term contract.

Hopefully we were able to get Mubiru on loan – let him prove his worth this year, and then try to sign him to a long-term contract if we feel he is that good !

So what changed concerning the so called ‘oguda rules’?

Yes @Arrumtiddi. What changed? Why must activities involving Gor Mahia transfers always be accompanied with some kind of noise even when there ought to be none?

  • Well said fellow bloggers.

I wish to appeal to our fans to maintain peace and say no to any form of hooliganism or violence. Let us all support the team and EC as this is the only way we can win trophies.

Let us be peaceful and God will reward all our efforts. Even if we loose fairly or unfairly, let us show the true sportmanship by maintaining peace.

I am fully persuaded that nothing will stop us this year.

  • PLAY BY THE RULES AT ALL TIMES

Apart from corruption, one other thing that has crippled the growth of Gor Mahia is lack of adherence to rules and procedures.

My first duty as a fan is hold our officials to account. I insist. Gor Mahia is neither a village club nor a private entity like Sofapaka. Supporters have a great role today in shaping the destiny of this great club. Throughout the years, the officials have ruled the club with impunity. They’ve broken every rule on the form book. They lacked vision to drive the club to where it’s founders envisaged. Instead they pay air tiickets and buy delegates at the AGM hoping that they’ll recoup their money from embezzling public funds. They arrive technically at the stadium with cowboy hats, club jersey with hosts of bouncers on his sides.

This club need a total overhaul of it’s structures in order to conform with the modern trends.
We seriously need the office of the communications manager. The EC in it’s current form is bloated without clear guidelines on who is playing what role. If it not General Bwana speaking , it is Faiz Ochieng. Fans get confused on who is talking the official position of the club. As for the so called bonding events, fans could hardly pick which one is sactioned by the club. More grave, matters such the continued death of our fans at the stadium is swept under the carpet.

As long as remain a loyal supporter of this great club, I will never stop from articulating issues that are close to my heart. Forty eight years is a pretty long time to give our officials the latitude to do what they want. Let us unite to defeat the forces anti reformists who have no agenda for this club.

SAY NO TO HOOLIGANISM AND OFFICIAL CORRUPTION IN GOR MAHIA FAMILY.

@MWAKIO & @ Ole Pareyio 09 you seem to be visualizing things yonder beyond the vicinity of the all bloggers. I have tried to comprehend what you guys envisage with your posts and I seem to be lost completely apart from the fact that this time round you have revised your roles completely with MWAKIO being the DEFENDER of the status-quo and OLE converting to the hard-hitting critic of the mediocre characters within the EC.

    1. MWAKIO of late you have adopted the real gentleman approach to issue’s pertaining to GM and you never tire-up to rally us behind the EC, TECHNICAL BENCH and above all you will always remind us to shun hooliganism and be patient while peaceful awaiting GODS reward at the right time. Are you predicting that K’OGALO will be lifting some
SILVERWARE at the end of the season? STAY FOCUSED AND LET US WAIT !!!

    2. PAREYIO 09 this time round you have taken the path of a constant critic of the EC and you have bowed not to tire up in exposing the rot ,ego and corruption practices taking place within the top most leadership. Keep it on and up both constructively and objectively within the rule. Just keep telling them until it will sink into their minds that you are on their back.

Fine, and O’Trailer have you achieved your goal of getting news conveyed through the right channels so that you no longer give us the ‘Gorry leaks’ yo used to favour us with!

I am satisfied that at least we have someone seeing and saying something regarding a change of structures and vision in management for posterity. At one point some people were seen as anti K’ogalo and Chairman as they pointed out these things.

    I trust it will work.
All the trophies on offer are very much within reach, however it will take five straight wins to to get the pressure into the leading pack of the league..once that is in hand there shall be no blinking.

  • @OGANGO TRAILER, I still have issues with the following inept officials:-
    1. Secretary General G Bwana,
    2. Senior Vice Chairman Kilo
    3. Ojeyi Second Vice Chairman
    4. Nyandega Org Secretary
    5. Ominde Treasurer

These are some of the inept and good for nothing officials.

However, my support is for Gor Mahia but not officials who are fleecing the coffers of Gor Mahia. These officials are running away with monies that have been collected from the loyal fans that are always paying the gate collections.

On Sunday, we are the host team and I can promise you that these inept officials are going to understate receipts from gate collections. These officials are only after the gate collection but not interest of the club. Bloggers, we have to put all our eyes on the ground and let us all be vigilant that the club resources are protected.

  • This Eddie Mbiru saga is a very sad affair.Reminds me of one afrosinema starring F.Nwosu.
Thats WHY the EC and in particular G.Bwana is behaving strangely so late in the day.
    Remember,
    1. Eddie was one of our first transfer targets, the guy has been on ‘INVITED’ trails for the whole month,
2.EC started behaving funny by claiming the player was injured.
3.Surely b4 you invite a player 4 trials- you have some idea of the basics like the signing fee, his fitness, conditions of his previous club.
4.K’galo wanted to sign this player in Jan.
Obviously K’galo is a very rich club,4 its not cheap to upkeep this player 4 a whole month, thats y it delayed in paying the released players.

COULD THE TRUTH BE THAT THIS PLAYER WAS INVITED WITHOUT THE APPROVAL OF THE TECHNICAL BENCH AND NOW THAT THE BENCH HAS STUCK TO ITS GUNS EC IS TRYING TO HOODWINK US.

We are obligated to sign this boy Eddie Mubiru, of Uganda’s Kampala City Council [KCC]since he has been training with us for a whole month. How come we could not arrange for his release letter till now yet he has trained with us for that long? I think some of these officials are now behaving like amateurs who are yet to familiarize themselves with simple soccer rules.

There is a blogger who recently mentioned that EC should take this boy then he’ll pay for his salary from his pocket for a whole year. If at all he was serious can he take care of some of the transfer fee to demonstrate his commitment towards his promise. By the way how much is this transfer fee that looks like a mountain to climb?

  • it would seem that those saying fkf is playing double standards are right after all. so why have the players earlier denied transfer been allowed, what chnged?
is oguda only concentrating to rules when it comes to gor and if not why are the transfer rules being flouted. so to bwana for once i could have misjudged ur comments on the transfers. to add to this if gor cannot afford mubiru, pls move on… my take is that we have A GOOD COACH(or so i believe)… my take is that this guy proves himself with what he has at the moment. u have taken the first match, four more remain. pls mr croat, move with what u have, tying ur success to players yet to be signed to me is simply searching for excuses… or are u trying to look for an escape route. as i said before the other clubs in the league have more or less the same type of calibre of what u have so CAN U MOVE ON.

Could it be possible that the noise and hullabaloo accompanying the Gor Mahia window signings arose because some MOUs and gentleman’s agreements regarding the sharing of the transfer proceeds could not be honoured? And so some of the ‘gentlemen’ suddenly realized that some ‘rules’ could be invoked so as to manipulate other ‘gentlemen’ to play ball?

Most office bearers in Gor Mahia are not elected on ability to deliver on the tasks before them but on clanism. We fans will shout all we want while the officials fleece and fleece as some claim.Gor needs serious professionals to manage its affairs otherwise we are headed towards gloomy future.
