Gor Mahia take on Mathare next

Kogalo will take on Mathare United in their next Tusker Premier League match. The game is scheduled for Wednesday October 2 at Nyayo national stadium. Fans will hope that Gor Mahia pick up from where they left off in the last two games where they beat Thika United and Chemelil. When the two teams last met on March 31, Gor Mahia came away 1-0 winners.

But United are a tough nut to crack. They have gone 6 games without loosing. Club secretary Jacktone Obure has stated that Mathare are up for the fight. The position we are in means we badly need those points just as much as Gor Mahia needs them and we are up for the fight. -Our boys are in good shape, and at the weekend we picked a point from Western Stima. Ever since our win over Nzoia United we have never lost a game and we expect to continue with that run against Gor Mahia but at the end of it all it is the 90 minutes that will tell, he told futaa.com.

Gor Mahia will be counting on Dan Sserunkuma and Kevin Omondi who have recently found a rich vein of form along with Patrick Oboya and Innocent Mutiso who will be playing against his former team.

Let the 12th man turn out in large numbers to cheer the team. Emphasis on cheer. The team needs fan support now. This is not the time to put the players under pressure no matter how nervous you are as a fan. Security will be tight at the game. Jacktone Obure told futaa.com that there will be 130 Police officers at the venue with sniffer dogs. Tickets start selling at Nyayo fromĀ 9 am on the match day and we have allocated 2500 at Kshs 500 for the VIP and 7,500 at Kshs 200 for the terraces. We are asking fans to come out and buy them early Obure added.

Fans expect GM(no.1) 2 WIN against lowly Mathare who r 13th.
Why r many & now admin urging caution 2 the extent of dampening even what r reasonable expectations.
    R we relying on luck?
4 Ingo’s AFC its nowadays juju!
TB & players r professionals & fans expect them 2 deliver against such lowly opposition.
The worry is our dismal scoring rate coupled with being wasteful in front of goal means teams just don’t dread meeting GM.
    MY MESSAGE IS:
PLAYERS ESP. FORWARDS CARRY UA SCORING BOOTS KESHO.

I thought Rama signed for some club in Qatar. Even if he is back, is he eligible to play for Gor before the next transfer window opens? EC and TB should be cautious lest we lose points that would cause us the title for fielding ineligible player. Just thinking aloud, I have no idea what KPL/FKF rules say.

Otherwise, all the best in tomorrow’s encounter with Mathere. The best way to hit them is to score an early goal, then they open up and you pump more goals. Otherwise they are master of draws. So far 15 draws.

For God and my beloved club – Kogallo

  • Rama is just training with the team to maintain his fitness level while he is under suspension from his club – he has NOT rejoined Gor !

  • Gor r doing well right now but I think Mutiso should not start while Kiongera Paul Odhiambo and Lavasta are on the bench. Oboya to me is the most talented and lethal of all the Gor’s frontmen. And with Oboya in the team even as a sub, Gor will win the league.

Oboya is still nursing some minor knee injury, while doctor Rama did just trained with GOR as a guest player while serving his two months suspension.

PLEASE LET THE TECHNICAL BENCH DO THEIR WORK IN PLAYERS SELECTION AND SUBSTITUTIONS. THEY KNOW BETTER WHO FITS THE BILL AND IN ANY CASE THEIR SELECTION FAILS TO CLICK THEY STILL HAVE ENOUGH ROOM TO OVERHAUL THE PLAYING UNIT DEPENDING ON THE KIND OF OPPOSITION.

In Jakoyo’s words Gini wasekawo mutated to Gini kik waketh! In O’trailer’s words let the team selection be thought and implemented by the TB, i’ve just fed myself to fill in the stadia by the players and especially Wanyonyi! Thanks everyone.
