Gor Mahia will resume their 2013 Tusker premier league on Wednesday with a match against Ulinzi Stars. The match will be played at City Stadium. It will be the second game of a double header. The first match between Mathare and Sofapaka will be at 2pm. Gor Mahia vs Ulinzi will be at 4pm.

With Harambee stars returning from Nigeria on Sunday, it might turn out to be a good thing that the likes of Anthony Akumu, Kevin Omondi and Rama Salim were not included in the Stars travelling squad.

And Dan Ssserunkuma who had been initially named to the Uganda Cranes squad that is due to travel to Liberia this weekend also did not make the trip as he was excluded at the last moment. His presence will be needed especially now that Raphael Kiongera is out with an thigh injury.

Ulinzi have so far played four matches, of which they have won one drawn two and lost one. That is a slow start but the Soldiers are always a tough nut to crack.

Let the soldiers come. We will be ready for them come Wednesday

  • Barefoot Bandit says:

    Which Wednesday, administrator?

  • Pod Antie says:

We are gearing to pick the next 3 points. Ulinzi is tough to beat, but their current coach doesn’t strike me as tactical enough and I see us collecting maximum points. After the the 1st leg of the confed cup disappointment, the boys will be raving to bounce back. And the fact that only Lavatsa and Owino having made the stars squad, the rest of the team should have rested and hopefully Kiongera will also have recovered. U go boys….

  • Kassam Mwivangano says:

    We’ll be there,
    Go K’ogalo Go!

Personally as i wish Kiongera quick recovery, am not worried about injuries since these are expected normal occurences in the game and the team is properly covered in terms of personell.

I accordingly expect a good game on Wednesday against the Soldiers.

jakoyo@5…its all about fielding your best team to get results. As much as the players you have mentioned are good, they will eventually be given their chance to impress in matches to come.let the technical bench pick the players they feel are capable of doing the job and the rest will just fit into place…

  • ODUOR12 says:

This game should have been played last Saturday which is more favourable for K’galo fans and more revenue for the club. But then again we have KPL’s and our “executive community’s” way of logic.

I remember the days league matches were postponed only for clubs with 3 or more players in the national team. These unnecessary rescheduling will lead to congestion hence double headers and mid-week matches read revenue loss for K’galo) later on in the year.

Otherwise I wish K’galo all the best in 2morrow’s match and for a MAJOR MAHONO against ENPPI on Sato.We should really focus on taking the league title, then CECAFA and gradually start challenging continental soccer giants.

  • ODUOR12 says:

To the technical bench am still puzzled as to why K’galo never practice set pieces ( i.e offensively).I again attended the teams training session today and this was not covered. Over the last 2/3 years we’ve only scored maybe 3 goal headed goals from corners and freekicks yet we’ve have players like Mosoti, Anguyo, Akumu, Wekesa and now Israel “HULK” Emuge who should be very lethal in the air. WE NEED VARIETY IN OUR GOAL POACHING.
