Central defender Chris Alpha Onyango won two accolades at the recently ended secondary schools U19 football tournament. First he captained Kakamega high who won the tournament by beating Olbossat 1-0 in the final. Second he was voted the most valuable player.

It is quite an achievement to be voted most valuable player. The tireless Onyango who clearly the best player in the tourney. Onyango has played for the Gor Mahia senior team, the Gor Mahia U-19 team, the national U20 team and also received a call to the national team Harambee stars.  He has a bright future if he continues to work on his game.

    Good Boy…Congrats the guy is our future central star defender..Let him rejoin next season after completing high school. Let us not send him on loan but monitor him from within…Loan spells took away Teddy Osok to sofapaka permanently and Derrick Onyango to Mathare. Both were future prospects from Gor Under 19 team
