Logarusic: There is talent in Kenya but lack of education

Gor Mahia Coach Zdravko Logarusic has been attending Nationwide league matches and other lower league fixtures in a bid to scout for talent to refresh his team. Coach Logarusic says that there is immense talent in the country but lack of soccer education is halting their march to glory.

“I have seen very good players. Some of whom have qualities to play in the premier league and can play better than some premier league players. The only problem is that there lacks good soccer education and you find that the talent goes to waste,” Logarusic told michezoafrika.com.

“Tactically, it’s disaster, In Europe, players start training at the age of 10 or so but you find that in Kenya, players get basic lessons at the premier league stage. If we want to get the Kenyan game on top we have to invest in soccer education from a tender age. Of course it is not an easy task but the authorities have to put in that investment,” he adds.

He says that slowly but gradually, the bar will be raised and he already sees signs of the Kenyan game reaching great heights.

“It is possible. Individual talent is vast and great. Team talent is also there. If we can add that ingredient of player development, we will be good to go,” he adds.

Good Observation coach, my hope is that you give K’galo for at least 3-5 years of performance based service.

On another note “the following officials are cordially invited to an harambee at Charter Hall on 30/10/2012. As with the branches please come with the deposit slip as proof of your contribution. Will the perpetual fundraiser G.Bwana kindly inform us (through) the GMFC website, by 25th October 2012, how much each official has contributed and the total contribution by this bloated EC of 3 vice chairmen and 5 secretaries. Please do not hide behind a branch let us know contribution of each official.

That harambee is already a flop. The club needs to be run like a modern football outfit, harambee mpaka saa ngapi? Generate income through sale of merchandise, gate collections and authorisation to use the club’s logo. The club can’t keep going back to the branches only when there’s money to be raised

Talent management that’s what we need not soccer academies……..we should have talent managers in every primary school in Kenya. This is a program the ministry of sports can roll out across the country with ease without necessarily investing billions of shillings in phony soccer academies….Omera this is Africa, you invest in soccer academies and the buggers will eat , eat , eat and loot and embezle every penny on the coffers.

Excellent ideas coach…but we have thieves in the football administration in the entire country. Look at FKF and Clubs, it is the same circus. Eating, Eating, Looting, Stealing, destroying etc are the languages you can hear from these good for nothing football officials. Look at the top, is FKF interested? What about clubs?

The clubs such as Gor Mahia and AFC Leopards need to set a small percentage of gate collections for development of club academies. Without academies, we are going nowhere.

Finally, it is my prayer that our Lord Jesus Christ will change the stone hearts of these officials just like Apostle Paul that encountered Jesus Christ on his way to Damascus to persecute the church.

Heavenly Father, open their eyes (football officials in Kenya) in the mighty name of Jesus Christ our Lord and saviour…Amen

It is my solemn prayer to the Almighty Lord and Heavenly Father that He will continue to give us victories upon victories on all our four remaining matches (i.e Karuturi, Tusker, Muhoroni Youth and Thika United) in the mighty name of Jesus Christ our lord and saviour. Amen…………………….

Our heavenly father, we shall return all the glory, honour, praises and thanksgiving to your holly name after the victories in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

Let all the bloggers say AMEN & AMEN

AMEN AMEN. We have gone several matches without loosing. If we can win all these remaining 4 matches, then we will be the 2012 league champions. Oh God grant Kogalo victory. Not our will but your will be done.
