No Kagere signing

Gor Mahia will not sign Rwandese striker Meddie Kagere, assistant Secretary General Ronald Ngala has said.
The club was looking to bring in the striker from army outfit Police Kibungo after stringing in a couple of good performances at the 2011 CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup.
Kagere top scored with five goals in the tourney held in Tanzania in December 2011.
According to Ngala though, there is no possibility of signing the player, as his asking price is too high for the club.

-Kagere has a big price tag on his head. His club wants Ksh four million for a transfer to take place.
-If you add his registration fees and salaries and bonuses, that will be a huge commitment for the club.
-At the moment, the transfer window is still open and we are in business, but as far as Kagere is concerned, the possibilities are slim, he told Futaa.com.
Gor have so far added strikers George Midenyo and are looking at Hugo Nzoka to fill in upfront during the upcoming season.
Who is the spokesperson in Gor Mahia and who is talking on behalf of the club? I do not know whether is Bwana, Faiz and Ngala.
We need to know who is the official that speaks on behalf of the club as things stand now these officials are behaving like bloggers.

Let GM forget about this established players. There are better options out there at mashinani. Where did Masika, Musa and the likes come from? Go scout for talents as has been the tradition of Kogallo. Forget about quick fixes. For God and my club Kogallo.
@Albert Kosero, am in agreement with your comments. Gor Mahia is known for scounting for unknown talents and I think the admin should scout for young players. I do not understand why we are going for 80% of established players.
My observation and proposal is that half of the players should either come from schools and pre-season tournaments.

I wish to make the following observation concerning my beloved Gor Mahia.: I would like to see the two new strikers- George Midenyo and Anthony (Balotelli) Otieno both given equal opportunity as the other strikers.I believe they will add fire-power in the forward line.Please carefully,without fear or favour sort out the goal- keeping situation before the season begins.Give the most deserving goal-keeper the jersey no.1 How many good strikers do we have now? 1.George Midenyo 2.Edwin Lavatsa. 3.Demonde Selenga 4.Odhiambo Moses 5.John Kiplangat 6.Anthony Otieno. Add these to the plethora of exciting attacking mid-fielders that we have, then I believe we are well covered going forward. Please now sort out the defence, both centrally and at the full-backs. We need someone who can push/challenge Nasio Solomon for the right full-back position.Yusuf Juma and Collins Omondi will provide the much needed quality on the left side of the team.As for the Central Defence please note that: Evan Anguyo(converted midfielder), Musa Mohamed and now David Owino as Central Defenders leaves us a little exposed at the centre.The three, even if you add Anthony Akumu (Teddy)fails to inspire confidence both for quality and quantity- wise. For you need at least 4 quality and established central defenders to go the whole season.I am generally satisfied with the quality and the numbers that we currently have in the Goal- keeping area (Ivo Mapunda 2.Wycliffe Kasaya 3.Jerim Onyango 4.Ronny Kagunzi) and the Midfield area. i think the problem happened when we hit the panick button,after we realized efusi av sighn our target man Victor Ochieng n other quality players.This hullaballoo about these n that players we are hearing are the office creation n don,t av tech-bench in put. It is the business of the tech-bench to recommend to managnt the areas they want to reinforce identify n do thorough research about the player n sighn then announce.But what is happening in GM is unacceptable.
This new office operates like in a jungle. Everyone says things to out do each other. Bwana and Ngala seem to be competing. Even before being sure of netting a player they go ahead and excite the fans. Let them do their biz quietly like our in laws who got their new players and then reveal to the media. No one can tell us who is inside and outside. Where is Lavatsa for instance. They are running everywhere looking for strikers and we got seasoned players. Is this panic buying? I hope we got the resources to keep these high profiled players. I also hope the tech bench is fully involved here. I can see trouble ahead. Where is AR to provide leadership here?.

I ‘ve stood with the same point i had when the transfer window opened..that is..why are we recruiting wholesomely? As if we are in a crisis? I even gave a list of our players who to many people are quality.
I only hope these recruitment is done with total involvement and agreement with the Tech bench not individuals working to praise themselves for bringing so and so for their vain purposes.
As a fan i urge my colleagues to support the team and cheer them to good results and heights.
If it were left to me, K’Ogalo should not have wasted any time or money recruiting new players. The guys we have are good enough; they just need guidance and good coaching. How many goalkeepers does one club need surely. Bringing back Ibrahim Kitawi was a good thing though. Selling Masika was also a good idea because of the profit Gor made in the deal. Buying expensive players has never been a good strategy for any team, ask Real Madrid. Expensive players is also what made ManU move from being the World’s richest club to being in debt. Blackberry is also not having a good time in Randers, it would not do him harm to come back home for a year. Methinks he went abroad too early. He should have stayed here till he was around 22 or 23.
Have just seen on supersports kenya that Gor Mahia have dropped seven players including Awilo,I think Awilo can be rewarded by something good we should borrow a good example as Tusker.why dont we give AWILO the youth team?than just to be given a mere release letter?need to hear your views fellow bloggers please.
Rumours have it there’s a Nigerian defender joining Gor. Can anyone confirm this? I think we’ll be fine this season.
