After Kenyan Premier League giants Gor Mahia expressed interest in signing Mathare United defender Lloyd Wahome, most thought it could be an easily done deal for the CAF Confederations cup-bound team but that is not the case as the deal has now stalled.

Mathare reluctant

Gor Mahia have given up on the former Harambee Stars defender’s chase after they found Mathare United unwilling to do business over the player.

Speaking to futaa.com, Gor Mahia secretary general Mr. George Bwana ruled out any possibility of the defender joining Gor Mahia, saying the 2008 KPL champions have shut the door on K’Ogallo over the player’s negotiations.

Quality in defence

-We have tried our best, there is nothing we haven’t done, but Mathare United are not even willing to listen to our request, they have totally refused to talk. There is nothing else we can do about it but move on with other plans because after all, our defence is not bad, we still have quality in it, he said.

Gor Mahia have already lost an important player in the shape of Eric Masika who left for AFC Leopards.

if the player realy wanted to come back to GM as alleged then ithink he should av pressed mathare utd to release him, coz i do not understand his quietness if he ever wanted to in the fast place.
