Sserunkuma set for Euro Trials

Kenyan Premier League (KPL) side Gor Mahia could soon do without Ugandan lead striker Dan(ny) Sserunkuma.

The reigning KPL Player of the Year is set for an Eastern Europe move in the current European transfer window that closes at the end of August.

Three countries

As confirmed by Ken Joseph, a Director with Emerging Talent Sports Management (ETSM), Sserunkuma has received an invite for trials where he will test out with clubs from three countries.

-Sserunkuma has been invited for trials in Eastern Europe and we are looking at options in three countries; Ukraine, Armenia, Belarus, said Ken, a British-born FIFA Players’ agent to futaa.com,

Invite

-We want to get him to a club where he will regularly play. I have spoken with his club (Gor) through the Chair (Ambrose Rachier) and he is happy with the offer the player has received

-We expect Sserunkuma to arrive in the next seven days for the trails that will taking anywhere from seven days to 14 days,

-He has already received an invite to attend and he will be receiving a Visa soon to facilitate his travel.

17 goals

Sserunkuma, a hit at Kawangware based KPL side Nairobi City Stars joined Gor Mahia in June 2012 where he became a key man for Craotian Coach Zdravko Logarusic.

At the close of the season, with 17 goals, he was a goal shy of being the top scorer after adding 11 goals to the six he crossed over with from City Stars.

At the close of the 2012 season, and inevitably so, Sserunkuma became the first foreign player to be named the KPL Player of the Year.

SAD and GOOD at the same time. On a personal note i WISH HIM THE BEST THOUGH i WOULD HAVE PREFERED HE REMAINS TILL THE END OF THE SEASON. Maybe he goes after the Ingwe game kwani yeye ndiyo kiboko yao

It is in deed quite amazing how Efusi crumbles under the feet of this player, however, career first. The Efusi game will take care of itself. Perhaps that will give an opportunity for a new sensation to be born.

when we beat Efusi in Fkf last season, Sserunkuma was injured just 15 min into the match & K’ogalo won 2:0 with Kevo & Odhis rasta scoring 4r K’ogalo. So the Idea that Danny is the only one who can score 4r Gor is not true.We can beat Efusi with or without Danny Sserunkuma.Otherwise we wish him well in his persuit of greener pasture. We have always moved on without our top strikers as we did when George Blackberry left K’ogalo for greener pasture. K’ogalo Forever.

  • Could this potential transfers be distracting u hence ua goal drought.I’m one of those who would have wanted u 2 stay until the end of the season but anyway All the best Dan”Flava” Sserenkuma.
WUONPAP, where are u?The previous article on GMFC youth structures reminded me of your wise blogs on this issue that has now come to haunt us.
Hehehe “executive community” has put up no structures in any area, who will even coach this team.Lets concentrate on the league/Gotv cup.
    LET’S TRY QUALIFIED LEGENDS

I wish Serrunkuma all the best! Before we say anything, let us allow him to attend those trials. He has not been taken already, he will compete with many foreign players and many challanges. Let’s only pray for him to pass the trials.

  • P.S I thought the transfer season in Kenya was over! Isn’t this the ONLY period when players are allowed to join and leave Kenyan clubs?
Can admin. or someone with info shed some light?

I CALL ON THE GREEN ARMY TO
    1. ORGANISE A PEACEFUL MARCH/DEMONSTRATION URGING THE POLICE TO ACT(ARRESTS) AGAINST ORGANISED VIOLENCE AGAINST INNOCENT FANS AT MUTHURWA/ CAR JACKINGS TO/FRM AWAY MATCHES, BHANG SMOKING IN THE STADIUM & GATE CRUSHING AT MATCHES
    2. VOTE IN QUALIFIED LEGENDS INSTEAD OF UNKNOWNS

@Oduor12 it has not reached the transfer stage. He will attend the trials and come back to Gor. After passing all the tests then the transfer bussiness beggins. The rules does not restrict them since each fedaration has its own callander. The one in Europe is different with that of the Kenyan callander.

I’m not at peace with this new development aroud Sserenkuma. It is at this time of the league that we need our full squad and the boy is such an experienced and inteligent player whose services will be surely missed. But if the desire to attend trials is too tempting to forefeit so be it.

Please don’t go, not yet if you know what we mean, we are not through with business. Ingwe game only and then you can go and we will wish you all best. You are the slay gun, you remember that goal at Kasarani last season, where you cut in only once and let fly? I want another like it against the big cat.

Bill Wabz, you will be surprised. Sometimes a player has got to rest. You have every reason to worry my brother, he has actually called and confirmed that he will be in for that match. So, titing’ ting’ titing’ tiiiiiing’ tarang taraaaaang’ tiing ndit!!!!Where is Disi your brother?

But in the end one is all the time allowed to look for greener pastures all over and he will definitely do that.We all support that kind of ambition.

Danny, may the good lord enable you secure a worth wile contract for your future lest we become a factory of sorry retirees as opposed to fat officials like we’ve had before.

I wish you all the luck to secure a contract just after the first kick of the ball in Europe.

Is Jathur gi ji talking in tongues to Bill Wabz?

@Bill Wabz my brother please do not celebrate yet. Danny may be away but that is just the beginning of more problems. This time round Luc of Efusi will be facing two Bobbys. He wont know what is going on in each Bobby’s mind and ultimately Luc and his Efusi will be “Bobby-trapped” and blown into smithereens. At the end of the day it will be 2 – 0: a goal for each Bobby.

The derby is still far if ur O.G.A.T is to be taken seriously u still have 2 negotiate ur bogey team Karuturi then the ‘sober drukards’, (Tusker) a game that can go either way then u take on the on form, unpredictable City stars 4 us we host the lesser Cats who find it hard to match the wild Cat then visit the soldiers who inspite of dismantling the al shabab always succumb to the great Leopards, yes u play 3 games to Ingwe’s 2 b4 we meet bt whether Ssebo will have left or not Bobby wont field him coz hamtambui.

Nyayo stadium is Bobby-trapped, Tok Komwanda is Bobby-trapped and so is Kasarani. Bill Wabz no escape for Efusi because we are the home team. You cannot take us to the ‘forest’ (Mumias). We all know how a leopard is very much at home in the forest.

By the way, did you notice Jerry Jagoal in the company of Adel Amrouche during yesterday’s Top 8 final at City? What do you think they were discussing? Let me get you into the plot. As the captain, Jagoal had been mandated to bring Adel to KDF. They were actually finalizing the talks and come El-classico…surprise, surprise! Adel will be covering every blade of grass in that midfield and like a Kaspersky antivirus, will detect every Ingwe threat and neutralize it with ruthless efficiency.

We are relishing a date with Ingwe because Luc has worked hard and brought Efusi to a level that can make El-classico very mouth-watering.

Kindly note that the bogey aspect of Karuturi and Bandari were effectively dealt with by Sir Bobby before his double arrived. How much more can they achieve when double?

@Bill Wabz Ingwe is currently on a roll but all this will come to a halt this weekend. The ref for the first leg against Sofapaka will not be there and Ulinzi will not be travelling to Mumias. Remember what the ref did to Ulinzi in a game they dominated for 81 minutes at Mumias. Even Gor we might not win the three matches but I’m sure we will pick not less than seven points in those three matches. That will mean that the points difference is maintained, if not widened. Remember that now we also have ‘money’ after the signing of the improved TUZO deal and that equalizes the issue of money
