The Kenya Premier League match was earlier set for Sony Sugar’s Awendo Green Stadium on Saturday (May 3) but has now been shifted
Kenya Premier League champions Gor Mahia will face Sony Sugar in a Tusker Premier League match at Afraha Stadium in Nakuru and not Awendo.
The fixture will be played on Sunday kick-off 3.00pm. Sony Sugar are the hosts. The match was earlier set to be played at Sony Sugar’s Awendo Green Stadium on Saturday (May 3).
Meanwhile, Ulinzi Stars skipper Stephen Ochollah will not make a return to first team action this weekend when his side takes on KCB in a league match (adds Tim Musungu).
The midfielder has been struggling with a knee injury and has not managed to shake it off for the past three weeks. At the same time, defender and deputy skipper Mulinge Ndetto might also be out of the game as he is yet to recover from an ankle injury which saw him miss last game against Bandari in Mombasa.
Coach Robert Matano says he anticipates a win over the bankers and will not allow his team to lose to the same side in a span of less than two weeks. “Ochollah is still out while for Mulinge we will need to look at him more and make a decision,” Matano told Goal.
‘I am definitely looking forward to a win over the weekend because it will be unfair to lose to the same team twice. I have worked on reviving the team’s fortunes and we have trained well over the week. We are definitely looking forward to three points.”
i always wonder how you guys stomach this nonsense:
1. being told not to blame others when there are office holders to blame
2. why is ade going for trials to a team that gor mahia can actually beat? trials!!
3. bailing out your silly administration with the mpesa fund drive instead of forcing their resignition
4. accepting the situation where the biggest club in kenya and the only cecafa club with a continental title to have no kit sponsor..ati donation of kits
5. absolutely powerless members union, look at ahly’s membership structure or cs sfaxien’s socios
6. your club training and playing at a sub standard facility yet you dream of greater things. where is the technical aspect of the club
7. all major player transfer issues at gor mahia must always have something wrong.
8. paying to attend the matches yet the books of accounts aren’t there-they even cheated you off gate collections last year.
9. expecting to attract sponsors yet supersport is capable of twisting your arm to broadcast your caf cl games for FREE
10. your club never releases club statements, it is so and so speaking
@Caffootball. All what you have said above can be summarised by your point No 3. We should bloody force these officials out and get people who can account for their time in office. Most of these guys are joyriders using this opportunity to market themselves for future political posts. EC is GM’s weakest link as an organisation and someone with a proper workable vision is needed there.
