Elliots now free to sell Gor Mahia bread

Gor Mahia’s hopes of shoring up their finances received a major boost after the court dismissed an application filed by Good Bread Kenya Limited that was seeking to block Elliot from supplying branded K’Ogalo bread. Elliott were involved in a legal tussle with Good Bread Limited after Gor Mahia terminated the deal with Good Bread who were paying the club 1 Ksh per loaf.

“They (Good Bread) have not achieved what they promised us, and they have not even explained to us how they intend to make up for that, so I think the best thing is to move on. We are in the final stages and in the course of the week we shall release an official statement.” said a Gor Mahia official at the time.

The deal with Elliots offers Ksh 2 per loaf. The report from Capital FM suggests that Gor Mahia are targeting an amount of KSh 4.8 million per month from their new deal.  This is an amount that would exceed what Gor Mahia received from Tuzo which in the last year was Ksh 29.5 million per year.  But it is still only half of what Gor Mahia needs per season especially considering the expense of playing in the champions league.

Ideas have also been floated by a different company to brand Gor Mahia water.

AM NOT SURE THOSE FIGURES BEING FLOATED AROUND ARE REALISTIC, EVEN BEFORE THE COURT CASE I HAD NOT SEEN THAT BREAD ANYWHERE IN THE SUPERMARKET SHELF.

SECONDLY, IS THAT BOTTLED WATER ON THE IMAGE BEARING GOR MAHIA LOGO FAKE ?

Had a taste of the bread yesterday for breakfast.Welcome Elliots but improve on the quality and be honest in remitting proceeds to the club.

  • We hope that Elliots can give the bread we knew when we were kids. If they simply produce the same crap ‘Good’ Bread ltd was doing then all this will be a waste of time.
Come up with a bread that does not stink after one day.

i hope the bread will be in good supply and everywhere unlike before when we used to struggle to find the bread!!
If supply meets demand then the financial targets will partly be achieved!

It may be a better and easier way of contributing to GM by most if not all K’ogalo fans..BREAD.

All factors held constant ie. quality and availability.

I wish to further congratulate the Chair and all those who have participated in keeping K’ogalo team above the waters for all this time GM has been sponsor less..its not easy. Keep it up.

On the other side, Betway is soon sponsoring both Gor Mahia and AFC Leopard, the top officials of the company that sponsor the English side, West Ham United as well ,are already in Nairobi. Financial problem is soon going to be a thing of the past for both Gor Mahia and AFC Leopard. Now we are expecting a proper footwork in the field! Eric Johana and one more striker then we are done.
