Gor Mahia training camp news Jan 27

Abouba Sibomana, Geoffrey Walusimbi and new signing Jackson Saleh were the latest arrivals as Gor Mahia continued their pre-season training at Camp Toyoyo on Tuesday. Still missing is Innocent Wafula whose whereabouts are unknown and Khalid Aucho. The combative Ugandan midfielder took to social media to explain his absence and promised to return soon.

Coach Nuttall is hopeful that the mssing players will arrive soon.

“The players are still contracted by Gor Mahia and there are no contractual disputes and therefore, I hope they will come back soon so that together we can begin our preparations for the title quest.” he said to goal.com

On Wafula, the club is best advised to ascertain his true nationality before fielding him, given that they have already reached the 5 foreigner maximum.

Walusimbi, Sibomana and Aucho missing the pre-season tour of Sudan and Ethiopia is not a bad thing. They played several international matches in 2015 and probably needed additional rest

  • listening to radio jambo yesterday when Kilo the GM organizing sec saying that both Aucho and Wafula have reported to training and now we are being told they are yet to report so who could be saying the truth. Why is it becoming so hard on the part of EC to get their facts right and tell the truth always.

@Bob that is the truth of the matter. Aucho still nursing injuries and WAFULA nationality is questionable but very much around. He has been hanging around with Bonnie within the city. The only link is that EC will lie and deny while the truth of the matter is like and day night in Camp TOYOYO. Long live K’Ogalo 2016 and 16 times once ,ore.

        • We threw away 4 million. I am quite sure that with three million we could have signed Humphrey Mieno Ochieng for two years.

Humphrey Mieno’s best days are behind him. When was the last time he was selected to the national team?

@Blogger, when a striker leaves you replace him with a striker. I have never seen Mieno playing a striking role. Maybe an offensive midfielder. Too early to judge whether money has been thrown away. When we re-signed Gattuso and Abondo we had the same sentiments

  • @OGANGO TRAILER I thought that Innocent Wafula had sworn his allegiance to Kenya and he said it numerous time, then how long does it really need from the EC to sort it out because I believe this are the kind of issues that affect a player mentally

I read that he refused to obtain a Kenya passport. Thats why he was left out of the CAF squad.

Wafula must be guilty of some falsehood. Why can’t he produce documents that can authenticate his place of birth & that of his parents so that he can secure a passport?.

    • I support. Nowadays getting a passport takes less than a week if someone is really serious. Even with injuries they should have reported. Drop them all.

Wafula is a great player;if only he could compete in continental level against the best and head later to Europe but it seems he thinks he’ll be 21 forever and Stateless. Aende UN basi.

I remember watching the second leg of Uganda vs Togo match. Aucho pulled an injury and was replaced by Baba Kizito. But I said here sometimes back that the results of the two international friendlies will be a wake up call. Walusimbi is back, Aucho chewing humble pie, Musa and Shakava renewing contracts and so on. Now its our duty as fans to offer the necessary support unconditionally.
