Jerry Imbo as Player/Coach
Jerry reagan Imbo had two stints as coach. His first was at the end of 1979 when Thigo was sidelined pending an investigation into the Yaounde debacle. He and Tim Ayieko were appointed interim player coaches when Gor Mahia won the 1980 CECAFA cup in Blantyre Malawi though many say that was still a Thigo coached team.
The second Imbo stint second was 1982 to early 1983, again as player coach after David Otti left. After a disatrous start to the 1983 season in which Gor Mahia lost to Vital O of Burundi in the Africa cup winners cup then lost to Motcom and Kenya Breweries at the start of the league, he was replaced by Len Julians while he took over as assistant coach along with Peter Ouma.
