Aduda resigns as CEO to vie for FKF

Gor Mahia CEO Lordvick Aduda is stepping down as the Gor Mahia CEO in order to challenge Nick Mwenda for the FKF Chairmanship.

Gor Mahia Chief Executive Lordvick Aduda has announced his candidature for Football Kenya Federation (FKF) presidency ahead of the December football polls.

However, Aduda – a former FKF secretary general during Sam Nymaweya’s reign – insists he will only quit his job at K’Ogalo if he is assured of a level playing ground in the upcoming elections.

The experienced football administrator said he decided to vie after an underwhelming first term by Nick Mwendwa who took over promising change.

“I have rolled up my sleeves and I am ready to take on Mwendwa in the upcoming FKF elections. The big concern however is the news that Mwendwa and his camp have been spreading that he has been endorsed by branch officials. Where was he endorsed and why does he want to lock out other candidates?” posed Aduda.

“I will be resigning as Gor Mahia CEO only if I’m confident that the election will be free and fair. I don’t fear competition and I’m convinced that I will win since my track record is clear,” Aduda told Nation Sport on Tuesday.

Aduda says his record at 18-time Kenyan champions Gor Mahia speaks for itself with the club having won three league titles and reached the Caf Confederation Cup quarter-finals during his tenure.

“Gor is where it is today because of team work and cooperation between myself and other officials. This is a great achievement and it will replicated from the top-tier league to bottom when I take over,” he said.

Incumbent Mwendwa, former Vihiga Governor Moses Akaranga and Nyamweya are some of the candidates for the top seat.

  • Hapana, Aduda and Sam Nyamwenya signed very stupid contracts with former Harambee Stars Coaches that have come back to haunt us. Amroche just got awarded 108 million shillings which Kenya must pay or else be kicked out of CAF and Fifa tournaments all because of poorly written contracts. Tafadhali Aduda, stay at Gor

This chap has been fired twice from GM and always finds a way back. I dont even know what qualifies him to be a CEO,

And that FKF chairmanship must be very lucrative. Even former MPs are vying

Aduda should have resigned from gor like yesterday, if indeed he wants to give a short on the higher calling at fkf. If he has rolled up his sleaves and want to compete then it is high time he geared up and launched in earnest a sleek campaign. None of the current cotenders, 1.equall adudas experience, expertise and proffessionalism in football administration. We can all see that beautiful CV in gor which he has kept afloat despite the club experiencing financial hiccups. 2.mwendwa -claims he has trained 1,000 coaches. Where is the quality. Where are the 1000 teams or facilities to absorb them. He has built his legacy on a quick sand. 3.Nyamweya-other than endless wrangles between kff and fkf during his time there is nothing concrete he can be remembered with interms of soccer development and the national teams perfomance was all time low. 4.Akaranga-got a bleak past in football matters and is more of a green horn than new blood. He is a gamble. This should be inspiration enough for aduda to go full throttle.

Aduda aki express interest oh oh Aduda this Aduda that. When Rachier tried we said all manners of things. Nick Mwendwa not fit for FKF, Akaranga greenhorn, Nyamweya sijui Amroche. Big question is, then who?? Ama ni ile ugonjwa ya mwafrica na sana sana Jaluo. They don’t like anything that is not for himself. We dislike everything, criticize everything but offer ZERO solutions.
Ongeye gima osekethore, an Gor Mahia ema ahero. For God and my beloved club – Kogallo

As CEO of GM, why didn’t he come up with ways and modalities to ensure that GM is self-reliant and sustainable? All these years as CEO and GM is still begging for handouts, rowdy fan base, players not being paid their salaries etc. This shows that he lacks the driving skills and his management is wanting, thus he cannot lead the entire country in terms of football matters. He still has a long way to go to improve matters football. As for Mwendwa, let his stop his rhetoric and work, his performance in the first term is not good enough. May be players like Musa Otieno should take over..
