During the Cheque signing ceremony in Nairobi, 748 Air Services Chairman, Ahmed Jibril, a long-term supporter and fan of Gor Mahia FC wished the club the best in their next tournament and called on corporates, business organisations, and individuals to support the growth of local football clubs.

“I am very honoured and I would like to thank the leadership sincerely for giving me an opportunity to contribute in small way to a club that is a national heritage, an important club in our society and a club that we all ought to be associated with,” said Jibril.

The signing and hand over of the cheque was held at Mayfair plaza.

He added, “We all need. All of us, all businesses, organisations, and individuals should be able to be proud of and support our Kenyan teams and especially Gor Mahia, a household name and one of the country’s earliest clubs. We wish them all the best.”

Gor Mahia chairman Ambrose Rachier expressed gratitude towards the donation saying it will support their expense out of the country over the next week.

“We are extremely grateful to Ahmed Jibril and 748 air services for the generous donation of Sh1 million to Gor Mahia football club, this will go a long way in meeting our expenses while in Algiers playing the next Caf match which will hopefully leave on Sunday 20th and return on 26th, it will be useful to us,” said Rachier.

    Thank you Air Charter.
Now GMFC management has the money to partly pay the kes.1.3m FIFA fine for Dickson Ambundo.
Wooii, Rachier and his sidekicks, it’s like going to fetch water from the well with a straw basket.
You get home with no water and a soaked and damaged basket.

      How true.
EC strike a beautiful pose with the cheque but players have not been paid for 2 months.
Qualification for CAF CL group stage & kes.58m is 2 matches away but EC is really complicating the efforts.
1)AR is focused on fighting Mwendwa /Startimes,
      2) Under qualified TB,
      3) Striking unpaid players,

On Saturday, the players boycotted a scheduled training session at Camp Toyoyo ground in Nairobi, instead holding charged meeting with the technical bench over two months salary arrears they say they have not been paid.

And it is not clear if the players will board the plane. By yesterday evening they had not heard word from the club management on their unpaid dues with many saying in confidence they would not play without pay.

      4) FIFA fines due to EC defaulting on player contracts like Ambundo.
      5) The most productive EC member SG Sam Ochola being demonized for being transparent & accountable.

WE NEED LUCK TO SAIL THROUGH. DROPPING TO CAL CC MEANS AN EXTRA 2 MATCHES AND WE MAY STILL NOT QUALIFY.

        P.S
        6) Suspect signings focused on quantity rather quality. CAF competitions require much better players than you need to win local league.
TM Jolawi has been at it for six plus years and should have learnt something from those years of experience.

Rachier rushed to spend half of the money received from Betsafe on signing a whole bunch of players that are not going to be useful for the team. Players like
    1. Konfor
    2. Okello
    3. Malisero and the many goal keepers probably consumed half the transfer kitty and without much to contribute to the team
