FKF cancels Gor Mahia vs El Hilal friendly

Sudanese giants Al Hilal were interested in playing a friendly against Gor Mahia. The Sudanese side have also qualified for the next round of the 2020-2021 CAf Champions league by eliminating Vipers of Uganda 2-0 on aggregate. They now face a daunting task against Asante Kotoko of Ghana. They are thus eager for a friendly against Gor Mahia to sharpen their tactics. They even made an announcement on their social media pages.

However FKF CEO Barry Otieno has written to Al Hilal stating that Gor Mahia will be busy in the local league and unable to travel.

Kahata denies rumours

Francis Kahata who was rumoured to be heading away from Simba on loan and possibly to Gor Mahia, has come out to deny the statements and dismissed them as rumours.

“Those are just rumours, I am not leaving Simba until I see through my contract,” Kahata told goal.com on Wednesday.

Kahata has been unable to get off the bench of late and Simba are reported to be seeking a Burundian midfielder. The lack of playtime has also cost Kahata a place in the national team. But Kahata flatly denies the rumours.

“I’ve seen news or rumours circulating on a section of media outlets purporting that Simba has released me,” Kahata wrote on his Facebook page. “Those are malicious and misleading news and I don’t like it at all.

“I am still a Simba player honouring my contract and committed to the team till the lapse of my legal responsibility.”

It’s simple FKF cant get part of the four million Gor Mahia was to get because of their refusal to hand over the club licensing rights, deny Gor any friendlies that come their way.

Football is about players, action on the pitch and fans.
This tiff between Mugabe and Sporano Man is hurting the players welfare, export and devlopment of Kenyan football.
In Kenya our priorities are wrong.

Batambuze was injured while playing and is abandoned by the club officials, similarly Philemon Otieno is injured playing for the national team and is abandoned by Mwendwa & Co.

Boardroom wars seem more important than action on the pitch and hopefully won’t decide the league this season.
