Frank Nutall ready to retain title

Rachier Introduces Nutall at his presser

The new Gor Mahia coach, Briton Frank Nutall has told the media and fans that he is not only ready for the pressure that comes with being Gor Mahia coach but that said pressure will fuel him.

“This is a new project but I am ready for the pressure. In my work, pressure is normal and I enjoy it as it pushes me to perform,” he said to goal.com

“I promise that I will do my best. Pressure is not a problem to me, I enjoy it. I am very technical and give emphasis to detail. I know about the size of the club and this is an opportunity to help the club realise success,” he added.

Nutall went on to explain what convinced him to come to Gor Mahia.

“We had in depth and interactive engagement with the club chairman (Ambrose Rachier). He was persuasive and he convinced me to be here. It’s a new project I am taking, a new challenge for me and I am looking towards positive that at the end of the season we will be having success,” he said.

Speaking on behalf of the playing unit, Jerim Onyango promised that the players would give full cooperation to Nutall.

“As a captain, we are going to give him the necessary support and cooperation. It is a positive thing that he has been brought on board and our priority is to work hard and help him realize success,” said the custodian popularly known as “Jagoal”.

Size of Contract

Nutall who most recently was at Chinese side Quingdao Hiniu been handed a Sh1.8 million worth of contract for the three months averaging a monthly wage of Sh600,000.
This is Sh50,000 more than what former coach Bobby Williamson was earning at the club. The six-figure salary puts Nuttall at the top of the pecking order, dwarfing what his AFC Leopards counterpart Pietier De Jongh earns – Sh350,000 per month. Other high-earning coaches in the KPL are Francis Kimanzi (Sh350,000) and Sam Timbe (Sh400,000).

Experience and Qualifications.

Nutall has an impressive holds a UEFA Pro coaching licence, the highest qualification in Europe. He has been working as a Fifa coaching instructor for the last two years. He has also worked at various clubs among them Newcastle, Middlesbrough, England U-20, U-17 and U-18 national teams.

On paper he appears qualified. Now its a question of whether he can translate his paper qualifications into results. And he has never worked in Africa so its questionable as to whether he can adapt to the Kenyan terrain.

I can only insist that EC quickly settles any/all outstanding players dues & keeps these payments upto date. This will allow the coach to demand the best from the players & players to focus.
Poor fitness at this time is directly related to non payment of dues.
This is such a fundamental requirement that EC needs to resolve otherwise all these measures are being built on quicksand.
Other teams also don’t what expect from GM which the new coach can use to our advantage.
AGAIN 4 NOW ALL THE BEST

    A LETTER TO. FRANK NUTALL

welcome to kogallo my brother , a club which is dying for success both on and off the pitch. This is not china town, it is africa! And the results must be delivered by hook or crook………

You may not have been the ‘ fans choice ‘ but indeed You have taken a very risky job in kenya one which may not guarantee you success bearing in mind that you have inherited a disenfranchised team with players hungry for their unpaid allowances. Bear with the players and don’t push them too much for the club can only reap where it has sown.

At kogallo, we will support you if you deliver the results and we will bash you and hound you if you don’t deliver the results. Bear with us fans as well, because we are a frustrated lot, a club like kogallo should be delivering results year in , year out without much sweat.

Lastly, hoping that the financial mess at the club will not lead you to throw the towel at the 11th hour but should be a motivating factor in helping you blend a team of winners NOT whiners. As you position the club for a second successive trophy, a lot will be thrown at you and it is up to you to stand up and take the positive criticism like a real coach, don’t take anything personal and don’t be swayed by the green army mob at the stadium.

Indeed, you will find us a difficult lot to please but remember if you succeed, you will be one in a million, as many have come and gone before you albeit harshly.

Good luck mr coach and if you can win the next 4 games , you job will have been pretty much done!!!!

    Regards,
    JAKOYO

Ooh Laa la.. ombeng ombeng Yawa.!”MCHAGUA JEMBE SIO MKULIMA”

@ombeng ombeng stop being pessimistic and an object of pity due to LOGA’s unsuccessful and disparate attempt to re-join K’Ogalo. You have now transformed yourself from pro-Loga crusader into the latter day doomsday prophet simply because you preferred guy did not make it.

THAT IS BEING VERY COSMETIC AND MYOPIC AS A GM SUPPORTER.

Let the new coach take over and do his talking on the football pitch for us to evaluate his prowess. WACHA FITINA.

Why wish K’Ogalo bad fortune to justify your ego 4 LOGA.

    “Size of Contract”
I hope Admin. has it right on this coz contrary to what we were led to believe new head coach Frank is actually being paid head & shoulders above his TPL counterparts.
After the gelling period (aren’t we ever gelling) I expect the teams performance & results will genrally be head & shoulders above the other TPL teams.
The challenge is for the EC to stabilize & keep upto to date the terms or the players & other TB members, its not all about the head coach. This is akin to building on quicksand.
The comment from O.T is as real as can be. Its practical & pragmatic its about giving Gor Mahia rather than individuals a chance if you not what I mean.
Its about putting GMFC football first.

  • May i take this opportunity to welcome the new coach aboard the Kogalo train.

This is the last stop before the train leaves for the final destination. Bwana Nutall, try and navigate all the corners, hills and valleys skillfully.

Just a word of caution Mr. Nutall: be weary of Kenya’s roasted groundnuts. Don’t overindulge in them. They made one French coach lose his focus and interest, a Croatian one went gaga while an Algerian-born Belgian lost his head and resorted to spitting on match officials.

Otherwise Mr. Nutall and The Villager, allow me to say Karibuni nyote. Thank you Ogango Trailer for your wise counsel.
