Kenyan Premier League club Gor Mahia FC will not sign the much touted striker Tony Balotelli Otieno Nyangor at least not for now.

This was revealed by the club chairman Ambrose Rachier during the unveiling of the club squad for the 2012 KPL season on Wednesday 13 January 2012 at the Nyayo National Stadium.

Running contract

-Technical difficulty made it impossible to sign the young player since he is under a contract with another Kenyan Premier League club up to June.

-We will however try to sign him then, said the club chair.

The club also clarified that Sofapaka striker Bob Mugalia never had any serious negotiations with them.

K’ogalo will participate in the Confederations Cup, Kenyan Premier League and the FKL Top 8 tournaments.

Kogalo better be careful with this. If you submit a name to CAF and the player is under contract with another team, you can be disqualified from CAF cup. They may have to remove his name from the CAF list.

  • @4gem kendgi – you must be joking !
On a more serious note, after hearing that Balotieno had been with Bandari, Mathare, Malindi Academy, Europe, etc, etc, I had a feeling that ONE of these outfits would have had him under contract (if he is as good as they make him sound).
At any rate, let’s keep him close so that when “the stars align” we can sign him.

This must be Mathare FC which dupes players with funny and strange contracts. Can we buy his contract out as fans? The player must have been duped by Mathare at a tender age for selfish reasons. Mathare that can not afford players’ salaries despite receivings lots of the sponship money.what are the FIFA rules regarding players who are almost having their contracts consumanated.

Mr. Chairman pls invoke FIFA rules that allow pre contract agreement that allow for player with 6 months to end his contract to enter negotiation with prospective club. Case study chamack transfer to arsenal from france.
