Agreed. One friendly can curtain raise the harambee. It’s also time the club published accounts, we have no idea how the club accounts are run. Looking forward to the start of the season.

Nonesense, a fundraising while income generating opportunities lie in wait for the office to take advantage? This jst intellectual laziness and the office can do better; sell merchandise, tv rights etc not begging like a club without pedigree. Clearly we still suffer frm poor leadership

  • The Mpesa idea is fine since this can guarantee us some income anytime and is the easiest to handle. Let’s also try a raffle. The ‘8989’ type can do as the guys doing them are just like picking money from the sky. Fundraising is also a good idea and should not be rejected as ‘nonesence’ as it even provides a meeting opportunity for the club financers/followers to meet outside a match environment. Since we need money we need to invest money as well. Get us 2010 calendars at 100/= or 200/= shillings, car (or any type of stickers) stickers, umbrellas , key rings, miniature flags, t-shirts, blouses, polo shirts and all types of merchandise. Make these items official or even outsource their production and sale and 60m will be surpassed. We need to think beyond gate collections and harambees as the only source of revenue to the club. I’m sure the Chair and SG can look at the model applied by the big clubs and implement what will work for our local situation. How about looking for an extra sponsor to assist Tuzo since a brand like GM looks too big for them to handle all its needs. How about DHL, G4S, Safaricom, some insurance company etc

@ Manizzle,You are so full of it like you have not walked with the club..Things are changing and we cant have it in one night..Please give EC chance to draw up all their plans and our proposals…Just the other day we did not even have players transportation and sponsors…Your energy is not what we want …we need minds of growth not blame game and self focused..These people in the office were elected and have mandate and according to me they’re in the right truck and they need our support and positive criticism not backlash like you are doing now…….Be positive and realistic to our position now and past and the vision the office have….there is a serious wave to make Gor our team great, proffesional and competative,so you need to be heard in positivity……

@ manizile i totally agree with you we have numerous ways we can raise money a club instead of just running to the fans calling for harrambes @ logombas we had a fundrasing for the bus last year how much was raised? how much did we collect from gate collections? how about sale of merchandise? and what of money raised from player sales e.g blackberry wake up we need our audited accounts we r commited to the club and shall contribute generously we however need accountability. as 4 bwana stay strong and keep focussed.
