Gor Mahia take on Atletico of Burundi

Gor Mahia are set to return to action when they take on Atletico of Burundi. The match is set to kick off at 4pm Kenya time. The venue is the Nyamirambo stadium in Kigali.

Both teams will come out fighting as they have both lost their opening games and are quite literally fighting for their survival. Gor Mahia started well against KCCA but lost focus in the second half.

Coach Bobby Williamson stated that he did not think his side deserved to lose.

“There is no question on who the better team on the day was,” Bobby told Kawowo Sports before revealing it was Gor Mahia FC.

“We controlled most parts of the game, had lots of possession and created the better scoring opportunities but we found ourselves losing which was unfair,” the ex-Cranes coach added.

It is also true that KCCA made adjustments at half time that Gor Mahia did not respond to, especially on the defensive end. Gor Mahia defenders will need to put on a much better performance.
