Gor Mahia take on Tusker in crucial tie

This Saturday at Kericho Green stadium, Kogalo will take on defending champions Tusker in what is shaping up to be a crucial encounter. The match was moved from Kinoru stadium to Kericho as the former stadium is under renovation.

Tusker are currently third placed nine points behind Gor Mahia but still within striking distance. A win for Tusker will see them whittle that gap down to six points. So Tusker will come to the match determined. After slumping during the first few matches of the second leg, Tusker have put their campaign back on course. This week they beat Bandari 0-0.

Kogalo for their part will be looking to consolidate their lead after a disappointing scoreless draw against Thika United. On Tuesday, Gor Mahia shockingly lost 5-1 to Administration Police, an NSL side. It was former Gor Mahia player Kevin Omondi, who came back to haunt Gor Mahia. He always plays well against his former club.

The last time Kogalo and Tusker played was in April, the match ended in a scoreless draw. In March the two sides met in the Super Cup which Gor Mahia won 1-0 with a Jacque Tuyisenge penalty. Goals are usually rare when these two sides meet.

not worried about kogallo. we just have to ensure we dont loose to sofapaka, tusker and ulinzi and game over!

now that high court ruling means the league goes back to 16 clubs from 2018 …how will teams be relegated and promoted this season ? FKF s KPL round 2 battle begins !

@ Jakayo, another lesson to those of the school of thought”mta do”,”accept & move on”or”nothing will change”. Another “Invalid,Null & Void VERDICT”.Let’s see if CAF will be hoodwinked by #Kumwaga mawe na mchanga Chan2018. Why can’t FKF build H.Stars by supporting clubs in CAF & even contribute to the paltry KPL league winner’s prize. Am 110% sure that had our bloated EC challenged the unfair 3 point deduction in 2016 that skewed decision would have been thrown out by the courts but i, maybe harshly, believe that Mugabe led EC will always strive to avoid a serious CAF campaign because it will eat into their annual “stomach” budgetted income from GMFC resources. The shenanigans have been revived in 2017 by non payment of winning bonuses “eti you have architectural plans for a stadium that will cost at least tens if not hundreds of million shillings. Worse, the EC you lead is guilty of stealing gate collections that are supposed to pay the players.EC BEING INVESTIGATED? THEN KAPARO IS FIGHTING H.SPEECH.
