Gor Mahia to miss Sserunkuma this weekend

Gor Mahia will be without dependable striker Dan Sserunkuma when they play Western Stima this weekend. The Ugandan who has now accomplished legendary status at the club has left for Denmark where he will attend trials for two weeks at HB Koge.

This provides an opportunity for other strikers to step onto the field and prove their worth, including the new signings Semazzi , Timothy Otieno as well as established players like George Odhiambo and Patrick Oboya, both of whom have yet to regain the form that made them national team players 4 years ago.

One player who has not lost his form from 4 years ago is Collins Okoth , based on his performance against Thika United last wekend where he was one of the few bright lights. And Gor Mahia fans will be cheered by that fact.

Other Good news comes in the form of Winger Innocent Mutiso who has returned from his injury according to a story on goal.com. The lively Mutiso will give coach Williamson further options in midfield and attack.

  • Dear friends, wengine wakitoka they are wished well while others are scathed thoroughly. We must learn to respect other’s opinions and choices even if he is Rama, Ssere or Wanyonyi. What criteria is used here!! Meanwhile, I wish Sserenkuma the best if and when he goes otherwise this will always be your home.

  • When players leave Gor, they always struggle. Kwani mnawafanya nini? Ama ni madawa. Sere, please go to church and pray very hard. Look at Lavatsa he has been sent away from Algeria, look at Peter Dawo who was sent away from Egypt. Kwani ni nini mazee? I know the man Gor from Homa Bay was a medicine man lakini muwache hizo remote controls zikaye.

  • @#7 Kombwayo….My arguments here are usually fact based. The responses that I typically get (including yours) tend to avoid the facts and are usually abusive. Silas, my observation here is simply this- why do Gor star players do poorly as soon as they leave? To the list above please add BlackBerry who was a good player but now just an ordinary player at best. What could be the reason? My hypothesis is that supernatural powers are at play; but again that is purely a hypothesi.

  • Mad! Mad Man Ingo, you still have such kind of thoughts? Ujinga nayo? Tell us about the African Firing Coaches(ingwe) that Luc complained about in public. Is it the reason why AFC buy the big names and struggle to fit in the den?
Anyway good luck Ssere, may God always be with you.

  • that school that the ingo attended is called friends school lunyerere since 80% of schools in luhya land r for friends & thats y if u have no friend in efusi it is dificult to get a play time. even Wanyonyi must ensure that the friend who took him to efusi is always his friend.
