Gor Mahia transfer news December 28

Some good news for Gor Mahia is the fact that Burundian right full back Karim Nizigiyimana has extended his stay at Gor Mahia by one and a half years.

“He has extended his stay by another one and a half years after agreeing terms with the management,” said a source to goal.com

The extension will see him stay at the club until mid 2018. Nizigiyimana has been one of the best players not just at Gor Mahia but in the country. He led the league in assists with his ability to make well timed surges upfront and send inch perfect crosses.

He was the runner up in the player of the year vote behind team-mate Michael Olunga. His performances have seen him receive a call up to the Burundi national team for which he is appreciative.

“Gor Mahia has helped him a lot especially with his intentional career and was delighted to extend his stay especially after he was called to the Burundi national team.” continued the source.

One player who is likely to leave is Meddie Kagere who has demanded a Ksh 6 million sign on fee before he can extend his stay at the club.

“I can confirm that he asked for Sh6million but we don’t have the money. Gor Mahia has no sponsor and there is no way we can pay this,” said a source to goal.com

With Kagere and Olunga departing as expected, the club will need to find a reliable striker to replace them. Some reports suggest that Gor Mahia coould be pursuing Jacque Tuyisenge, the Rwandese striker who excelled at the 2015 CECAFA senior challenge cup.

Either way, Gor Mahia will need to rush their player signings as the deadline for the 2016 Africa champions league player registrations is fast approaching. In 2015, CAF extended the deadline to January 2016.

Nothing to worry about. Gor produces the best. Olunga was in this league 3yrs ago none talked about him.Ask Karim what Gor has made of him, deputy captain Burundi.we lost almost all but we came out the best.

How do we know the burundian has signed? Would he not go to the press to deny that tomorrow. …anyway would be Keen to hear EC views on Dan sserenkuma and Rama salim who are still in the country and in need of career progressing move.

Can the club bring back Danny Flava? With these two leaving we need a dependable striker.

Serenkuma was a loyal servant but a greedy master. He always leaves the club without benefitting us. Why does he always sign one year contracts and mid season he always hops onto planes for trials. A very disruptive player if you ask me.

My opinion…Dan Sserenkuma a big NO!!kwani we are that desperate? This is a player who keeps ditching us…why don’t we ever learn? Besides, his form has been so poor in the past 1 year or so…he is not worth it!!

So painful yet so real that some of the players have to leave Gor Mahia for other clubs.I wish those leaving good luck wherever they will land but for those staying and those joining this is all I can say: “K’Ogalo is the club to horn your skills atleast for now in Kenya.Thank God if your contract is renewed or you are newly signed, for in Gor we have a legion of fans so passionate enough to push you to the extent of you unlocking your full potential in football”.For players who want to recycle their careers like Danny and the rest, give them no chance.Fresh talents are all around, sign them at reasonable fees,panel-beat them into a winning outfit & continue from where we left in 2015.

Leaving and comming is part of the game. What gives me confidence is that not all dependable players will go. This gives us cousion. Secondly, the EC has shown us that they are not asleep and are working very hard to give us the best available within our means.

All best players in kenya are made at kogalo. Their depature shall give birth to other players who were not known to rise. My only biggest quest, is to take a strong squard to continental competition.

Ngala, Rachier, by mid night tomorrow the list should be in Cairo for CAF assignment. Someone remind them because they hardly read this page. Tick Tock, tick tock, tick tock, tick tock, dakika zinayoyoyoma…..

Lets give the office a benefit of doubt. What Rachier is doing reminds me of the days of Leslie Okudo, Sam Aholo, Joab Omino et al. Some people just criticise for the sake without giving solutions which are sustainable. Some give noble solutions but once embraced they mute instead of following up on their brainchild. If you were in the shoes of the Ec what would you have done with the current financial status?

I am not really worried about these “transfer news” for what they are…….they are normal. Players whose contracts have run out must play hard to get, bargain hard otherwise they lose out. There are also rumour peddlers out to create anxiety and confussion. It is understood that some players have hired some reporters to be their mouth-pieces by reporting untrue stories just to up their bargaing powers. I trust and know that the EC is doing the best to keep the players the club can afford to pay, and all shall be well. I always wonder, who is this official who talks to the media and does not want to be identified? If Olunga and Kagere want to leave, all we can do is to wish the all the best, no hard feelings…this is open market and you go for the highest bidder. We had a wonderful season in 2015 and looking foward to 2016. GOR may not replicate the stellar performance of 2015 but I am almost certain they will still prevail, the competition will be stiff of course.

did i not hear news of some newly promoted aces from the youth team?
don’t we have strikers who have warmed the bench due to the professionalism of olunga and kagere.
i personally appreciate the fact that the two have been recognized by other higher cadre clubs.
