Gor Mahia try to get back on track against Posta Rangers

After stumbling out of the gates, Gor Mahia will be looking to regain their running form when they take on newly promoted Posta Rangers

The two sides last met in a friendly match at Nyayo stadium in March of 2015. The match ended in a 1-1 draw with Zakary Taofiq scoring for Kogalo. The last competitive match between the two sides ended in a 2-1 win for Kogalo. That was in 2012. One of the most infamous matches for Gor Mahia fans came during the very first match of the 2011 season when Posta Rangers shocked Gor Mahia by beating them 3-0.

The man who was coaching Gor Mahia on that day was none other than Zedekiah Otieno “Zico” who is now the coach of Posta Rangers. Also in the Posta Rangers line-up will be Timothy Otieno, who played for Gor Mahia last season. This season he has started with a bang, scoring two goals in his first game. He is the man that the Gor Mahia defence will need to watch closely.

Gor Mahia played well against Chemelil last Wednesday. But the attack has clearly not come together. When coach Frank Nuttall finds the right formula to combine Francis Kahata with Jacob Keli and Enock Agwanda, the goals are bound to come. With Kahata’s brilliant passing skills and Keli’s speed and ability to finish, fans are expecting improvement as Nuttall continues to sharpen the attack.

Coach Nuttall will have to do without newly signed striker Jacque Tuyisenge who is out for five weeks after sustaining a groin injury during the CHAN tournament.

“He (Tuyisenge) came back with a groin injury, we thought it was minor but it was not. We might have to wait for probably four to five weeks before he joins the team. It is a blow to us but things like these usually happen in the world of football.” said a source to goal.com

Sandroman what malice is that? Footballers get injured all the and it’s normal. When he was signed he was well, let’s keep it sober. Timothy won’t play against Gor, that’s in the terms of the loan. Let’s come with one mind to cheer and not jeer, they are ours, in good times and in bad times.

It is just a matter of games, K’ogalo will pick up and once they do, they are still a team to watch even if they loose a few games because that after all is part of a competitive sport. Winning unbeaten last year was quite a privilege and not a right. The ideal situation is win, draw or loose and that is the game. It is also upon the K’ogalo family to show leadership during this temporary times by turning out in large numbers to give the unwavering support to the Team. This will provide a lot of motivation to our players as well as help them to gain confidence. Otherwise see you later.

FYI @Sandroman. ..we are not missing Timothy. He was given his chance at Gor but never took it. ..that’s why he was loaned out.it is up to him to prove himself if he eventually wants to make it in Gor.

Gor Mahia is no. 12 on the KPL Table. atleast we could retain Kagere, Now i feel it to have a team without a lethal striker.

So what if number 12. Are you out of your mind? The league has just started and we have played a single game.
